    Simballer:

Thanks so much for getting back to us on this issue! With this news I am once again going to get the game on release day! Really huge news for me. Sooooo happy right about now.

      Chase,

Are you able to see the number of pitches - balls and strikes - thrown by the CPU pitchers? I see it for the Human pitcher, but couldn't find it in the demo for the CPU's.

When you get a chance, do they have the players career stats in the game?

      Thanks again Chase.

        Chase,

Have you played a game in the rain? retractable roofs?

For example, can I start a game with the roof at the Rogers Centre open, have it start raining, then have the roof close?

        Rain delays for outdoor parks?

Does the weather affect gameplay? Balls have less hop etc etc?

If arbitration would have been included it could have been used as a marker for when those contracts stop recurring. Hopefully they try and patch this using that logic even if there will be no arbritation in 2k9.

On that trade that was posted, it wasn't that bad. Nolasco is one of the best pitchers in the NL and Johnson has the stuff to be a really good #2/#3 pitcher. The Marlins have a ton of young arms and could take the hit to the starting roation to bring in a big power bat. Plus, Howard will most likely cost less in the long run than both Nolasco and Johnson.
Amen...When will we ever get that. Who are the developers of ASB working for now? VC could use their help.

There has been some variant of this bug before...2k6 you had the bug where a player who landed on the DL would be pushed down to the minors, and once healthy would never get called back up. I remember Pujols sitting down there for an entire season when I was simming.

And in years past the AI hasn't been any better than what has been reported thus far in terms of the CPU signing/resigning top flight FAs.

Once saw Ortiz, Johan, and a plethora of other A class FAs sitting out in the FA pool after their contract expired in 2K7.

As a reporter myself, it's mind boggling that nobody has suggested this. If you are a gaming site, and make-pretend to be "reporters and editors," then please get to the bottom of this franchise issue.

Even if VC says "no comment" or "we're aware of the issue," at least it's something!!

            Thanks
As a reporter, do you wait for the readers to ask you to do something before you get on a beat? Do you also jump to conclusions and claim that a source is doing nothing without actually speaking to the source itself? Weird, I must be studying a different kind of journalism.

For the record, I did contact 2K.

Haha, don't just assume things based on what you THINK this site is all about.
That's not true, and it's an unfair thing to say about everyone who works here. We're not patsies who look the other way to save face, but even so, relaying information is a part of being a journalist so relaying and being a "journalist" is one in the same much of the time.

I could have ignored to mention this issue, no?

Either way, it's good that it's going to be fixed.

By the way, I'm rather busy today, and I realize some of you guys have asked the same question multiple times. I am not trying to intentionally ignore you, I do see the questions.

If I do not get to them today, then the weekend will be showtime for Q&A'ing. Patience may just be the name of the game until then.

Doesn't help someone that lacks an Internet connection. Shouldn't have been broken in the first place. Madden got trashed for this and you should too.

It doesn't take a genius to catch this error. All it takes is someone to play the game in a logical fashion like someone that bought it might do.

Piss poor Q&A and relying on post release patching has ruined a lot of video games recently.

thanks for answering the questions Chase..

has anyone tried using the custom music feature yet? this is a pretty important feature to me, and I just wanted to make sure the custom music plays during the game etc.

also wondering if your custom music plays out of an inning while the blank screen transition to the next inning comes in...you can really make it sound like a real broadcast with custom tunes.....

By the way, if you install this game to your HDD, it's 6.7 GBs.

I saw a few people ask that question, and it's one I can answer off-hand.

ChaseB. Thanks for answering our questions. Mine is whether there is still the dreaded missing frame when pitcher's release the ball. If you dont understand what I mean im asking if the ball changes direction (defying physics) once it is released from the pitchers hand? While it seems like a subtle problem it makes it difficult to pick up pitches.

Kcvix didnt seem to notice it, do you?

I was thinking the same thing. I have xbox live, so it's not really an issue with me, but the sort of dickish "you can go back to your regularly scheduled worrying" comment was unneeded since 2K did drop the ball big time allowing an error like that to exist

Especially on the heels of making such a fundamentally flawed game in MLB FOM

In the demo if you hit multiple batters the pitcher doesn't get ejected. Did they fix that or is it the same?
