Re: Why Do I Do This To Myself: I Have a Copy of MLB 2K9 (Q&A)

Again for me it's not really an issue about salary bug, because I've been waiting to control all 30 teams. And I will be able to make it work.

And for those that say well the money won't be right, even if you control all 30 teams, well that's really not a problem, because if you are able to make salaries fit by adjusting the contracts and years, it won't be a problem for those that have the time to invest in the game. The salaries maybe unrealistic, but at least you can keep correct rosters with the change of salary and year edits.

For those that do not have the time, IT'S A HUGE ISSUE.

Hey Chase man, you still have not answered my question about the world series celebration how does it look on playoff mode?

Does this mean VC lied to us when they said the franchise was "built from the groundup" As other gamers have stated, this bug was in NHL 2k9 so this would mean code was copied from that game. Let's hope Simballer can get to the bottom of this

As a reporter myself, it's mind boggling that nobody has suggested this. If you are a gaming site, and make-pretend to be "reporters and editors," then please get to the bottom of this franchise issue.

Even if VC says "no comment" or "we're aware of the issue," at least it's something!!

        Thanks
Dude, the employees of OS are not reporters, so much as they are relayers or information. They start acting like that, and they are going to start losing all their pre-release priviledges that they currently get.

Haha, don't just assume things based on what you THINK this site is all about... You know what they say about assuming...

This franchise news is terrible .

I hope they fix it a week or two at the latest after the game is out, or I won't be playing nearly as much as I thought I would.

Saying the same thing you said before(basically) ...in bold this time, doesn't change the fact that the franchise system may be broken.
Good for you that it's not a problem.

You just made a comment that challenges the integrity of journalism as a whole. Imagine how a story may be swayed simply because oof fearing that the writer may lose his source.

If OS has titles like "Executive Editor" and "Editor" they are claiming some type of journalistic responsibility. I actually thought to myself, "I wonder if 2K saw Chase's discovery and is thinking to themselves, 'maybe we shouldn't be giving these games out to certain sites.'"

In order to receive these copies early, the OS team is claiming to be some type of representation of journalism and proving it, otherwise, we'd all be able to get in line for our early copies.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

Figured I'd chime in while on lunch.
It is disheartening that this franchise problem exists. I really only play franchise so it's bothersome to me.
With that said I will still be getting it day one because I love baseball.

If they fix it great and if not then I guess that will help with deciding future installments. I just hope they don't wait 3 months to fix it.

With the Show being my main franchise game I can live with 2K9 being slightly broken out of the box but it really needs fixing for those with only a 360.

Everyone (here) knows the issue, so buying it on 3/3 and then constantly posting afterwords that you demand a fix etc.. doesn't make sense but I know it will come to that. If it's something you have to have fixed I'd just wait and see if they fix it and then pick the game up.

I'm getting both and will enjoy what they each do bring to the table.

Well first of all I made a mistake and bolding my whole thread, my bold was really trying to get Chase to answer another question I posted a few times now.

And it's funny how you are getting all butt hurt about my post---when I was complaining years upon years about not being able to control all 30 teams in franchise, the same people, probably like yourself, were telling me it's not a big issue and they would still have fun playing the game regardless if you could not control all 30 teams. And I didn't take offense to that, it's your opinion, you're entitled to it, but if you getting mad about a post, than you got issues, it's obvious a big issue to folks, which I agree, and I'll leave it at that. Good Day

                              1. Can u change the size of the player's jersey ala 2K8 and 2K7 which the options were Tight / Normal / Loose ?

                              2. Also can u change the size of the pants and pants length ala 2K8 and 2K7? I am really interested in "Baggy" / "Super Baggy" and the "Extra Long" options for the pants the most.

The options in 2K7 and 2K8 were: Tight/ Normal / Baggy / Super Baggy
The options for pant length were: Tucked / Normal / Long / Extra Long.

                              3. Lastly, there was an option for the "undershirt sleeves hot/cold" that I noticed in Steve_OS's screenshots. The option that I am looking for that was in 2K7 and 2K8 is "3/4's Above The Elbow." It basically is the sleeves that are cut at the elbow and not the 3/4 sleeves.

                              </TD> <TD style="BACKGROUND-IMAGE: url(/vBulletin/images/quotes/05.gif); WIDTH: 18px; HEIGHT: 1px" width=18>

                              </TD> </TR> <TR> <TD width=37> </TD> <TD style="BACKGROUND-IMAGE: url(/vBulletin/images/quotes/02.gif); WIDTH: 100%; HEIGHT: 14px" width="100%">

</TD> <TD width=18> </TD> </TR> </TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>TJ: 1 - Not that I can find. Correction I believe it does One screenshot steve took comnfirmed it so...

2 - Yep...the options are Baggy, High, Low, High Stirrup, and Low Stirrup.

3 - The sleeve length options are Normal, 3/4th, None, and Short. Short is cut off just above the elbow but not at it.
If u can show me the screenshot than I'll believe u, but I haven't seen anything yet to tell me different. Thanks much. Later
