I have started two franchises. Each one has gotten "stuck". One freezes at the end of the third game (after hitting quit) and the second freezes when loading from the menu after two games had been played.

This may have been addressed before, but when Tim Wakefield returned from a short stint on the DL, he apparently went in for some cosmetic surgery during his time away from the team.

His face has been changed to some random person who looks nothing like the Wakefield we all know. Anyway to fix this? I went into the Edit field, and saved the edit without actually editing anything, as you cannot edit the faces of the pros. Nothing happened.

Help suggestions?

I'm new here, but been lurking for a while.

Anyways, here is my question. Me and 3 buddies just started an online league. My opponent and I played Game 1 in Round 1. Since we played each other in Game 2 and Game 5, we went ahead and played these.

The other 2 guys(to make it easier...guy A and guy B) had a game scheduled for Game 1, but since guy B wasnt around right then, me and guy A decided to start our 3 game series in Round 1.

This is where I think things went haywire. As soon as we "readied" up and it went through a few seconds of loading, it froze both of our Xbox's. We tried it 4 times, getting the same result each time. Guy A and Guy B tried to play today, but they had to start over 3 times because it froze during the game, usually during the 1st inning. I know that was kinda long, but I'm wondering if me and my first opponent going ahead and playing all our games in Round 1 screwed it up. Anyone else had this happen to them?

Two things...first of all, I'm aware of the problem of outfielders dropping fly balls, but something happened a few nights ago where my outfielders wouldn't do anything but dive after the ball, as soon as it left the bat, my outfielder dove, got up, dove again. All the while the guy who hit scored an inside the park homerun. Really annoying. It looked like my outfielder was having a seizure.

Second thing. Not really a glitch, but, Fenway Park needs to be fixed. There is basically no crowd there. The outfield looks like there's about 250 seats total, and the rest of the park looks like about 500 seats total, from the third baseline all the way around home plate to the outfield down first base line. Really a let down. It feels like I'm playing in front of 150 people, which really takes away from the experience.

Yeah thats weird, I was the Sox on my franchise and had at least 40 errors with Lowrie before the all star break. That franchise froze. I then did a fantasy draft with the Pirates and it was still bad. That franchise froze. Im now the Giants in a fantasy draft and while I still make alot of errors, its not near as bad as it was with Boston.

im playin wit the braves and recently traded for norma garciapara(w/e his name is) because kotchman wasnt producin
the very first game i play wit him garciapara walks up to plate with generic face, and signature stance
some guy said i should send him down to the minors and bring him back up
i sent him down play a game in the minors and garciapara is all right(face, structure everythin good)
next game in the majors hes bald again

Encountered a glitch this weekend. While looking for a way to accomplish some stolen bases to (1) Unlock some cards (2) Unlock some achievements. I decided I'd double steal whenever I get my #1 (Coco Crisp) #2 (David DeJesus) batters on base together.

Well much to my dismay I found that IF one of the runners happens to get caught stealing, as Crisp did trying to steal 3rd, then it's counted as a caught stealing for BOTH runners - Even though DeJesus made it to 2nd safely.

Thinking maybe it was just a "visual" glitch in the boxscores I looked at the player cards, both runners had a CS. Not done there I looked at my VIP profile, and I was still stuck on 25 stolen bases. It should've at least been increased to 26 after DeJesus made it safely to 2nd on the double steal.

I have a few things wrong with the game and possibly some suggestions:

1. 2K needs to completely remake the game. 2K8 was better

2. Stop the pop-outs to the catcher. I hit at least 3 every game

3. Home runs are impossible. I have my home run power on 70 and my lineup includes kinsler, manny, teixeira, miguel cabrera, matt kemp, joe mauer, justin upton. I haven't hit a homer in 15 games.

4. Take off the dust cloud when the players are running. It looks unrealistic and at least if they tried this make it where the guy is running, not 15 feet behind them.

5. Outfield glitches. Sometimes, the outfielders just stroll over to the ball and watch it whiff by them, or they slow down when they reach the landing area and I have to dive and pray to try to get the ball.

6. Infield glitches. Sometimes, the infielders run in the complete opposite direction of the ball (so does the outfield). Also, the AI makes unbelievable catches that seem impossible, but when I try the EXACT SAME PLAY, my player doesn't seem to dive. Also, if a bunt is put down (I had juan pierre bunt), the AI goes to get it and is looks like I'm going to be safe at first, but then the AI throws a 105 mph fastball to first to get me out. It also happens on diving plays and also, the AI makes a diving stop on a double play ball at third base and somehow gets up in a split second and throws a 100 mph fastball to second to eventually get the double play.

7. Fantasy draft. The draft needs to change. Every single pick the AI makes is the exact same pick in every selection, no matter what. I tested 5 drafts in a row. All the same result. Albert Pujols first and other guys the same next.

8. Pitching. In pitching, the release stuff is so weird that it is impossible to know if something is a good pitch or not and I NEVER throw a simple 4-seam fastball cause its a double or a very rare home run. I throw only 2-seams and cutters for speed pitches. The pitching should be like MLB The Show or MVP Baseball 2005.

9. Editing. 2K apparently thinks that they have all the people's positions and pitcher's pitches right. They are gravely mistaken. YOU ARE UNABLE TO EDIT ANY POSITIONS OR PITCHES. Matt Palmer (Los Angeles Angels), for example, throws a 96 mph fastball in 2K. In real life, he throws 89. Rickey Romero's (Toronto Blue Jays) best pitch in real life is his dirty change-up. In 2K, he has none. Why don't I edit him to get a change-up? Oh that's right 2K made it so I can't edit.

10. Trading. My team that I showed above was a team where I started with the Dodgers and I DID NOT have force trades on. My pitchers were still the Dodger pitchers. Now, I was happy, but I mean REALLY? My team is stacked and I didn't cheat. 2K needs to change this.

11. Soundtrack. Now this soundtrack is utter garbage. Don't get me wrong, there are some ok songs, like 3 or 4, but the rest is crap. There are 4 hip-hop songs from those 2 weird people who I have never heard of in my life. I was just confused.

12. Dynasty mode should be modeled after MVP Baseball. My favorite baseball game of all-time was MVP Baseball 2005 for the PC. That game had the key dynasty advertisements for your team and I thought that was sweet. MVP 05 looks a lot like MLB The Show now, except the show has better graphics. But once MVP stoppped making their game, I was very sad and 2K should model the games after them.

13. Unrealistic Graphics. I have a few to say here, but this will be the last of my concerns.
A. Shoes. The shoes look like colored bricks and whenever someone sees me playing 2K, they always say "what are they wearing on their feet?" 2K needs to get actual shoes for the players
B. Gloves. The gloves that the players have look a lot like oversized oven mitts. It really doesn't make any sense and they need to make actual gloves like in The Show.
C. Pepsi Sponsorship. Now I love Pepsi, best soda company ever, but I mean REALLY? It's like they diliberately put hundreds of Pepsi logos on every stadium. FIX IT.
D. Pitcher Talk. The Pitchers seem to be talking to someone/something when pitching. Makes no sense what are they saying? Who are they saying it to?

There are quite a few more bugs/glitches that you people have probably mentioned, but I am quite fed up with this game. It is "The Game That Should Not Be Mentioned" and rightfully so.

I just started season 2 of my franchise where I play all of the games my created pitcher pitches. In the first game I try to play, when my created player pitcher comes up to bat for the first time, the game freezes before it displays his name/stats . Has this happened to anyone else and if so are there solutions? thx.

I keep trying to play my dynasty, and it keeps freezing. I have the patch, I've cleared my cache about 3 or 4 times to redownload, and I'm not saving and quitting. I have no idea. I called 2k tech support, they said they'd get back to me on monday, and I've got nothing. I'm getting to about the third game of my season (maybe to the 5th) and it's freezing. I previously got farther (into may) but my hdd was wiped, so I had to start over, and since then, I've had nothing but problems.

I actually like the game, despite it's problems, but I'm about done. I think I'll try and find a cheaper copy of 2k7 (I'm pretty sure I traded mine in for 2k8) and try that.

Played some guy in a ranked match... he's down a couple runs late in the game and played fine.

All of a sudden... he starts switching his hitters to the opposite side of the plate and then back really fast. He does it after every pitch and when he makes contact, my fielders all stand still and I can't move them....

Honestly 2K, how does a glitch THAT FRREAKING BIG make it 6 months in a game?

Yep I've gotten that. When you send a player to the minors and then bring him back up, most of the time he had default hair, stance, etc.
