Terrible base running glitches in back to back innings. First there was a bloop into left and for whatever reason,without me telling him to,the player decides to try and take 2nd of course was out. Then in the next inning a grounder up the middle with the pitcher on first and the pitcher doesn't run.

Just had another one. Flyball,runner waits but the fielder boots it. The runner doesn't start going untill the ball was half way to 2nd.

And another baserunning mess up. After hitting it off the wall and going to 2nd Ryan Howard stands on 2nd,has some sort of fit then starts running BACK to 1st.

CPU tries to lay down a squeeze bunt which is great. They tried it at the proper time. One out but here is the problem. The CPU missed the bunt on a low pitch. My catcher catches the ball and I run out in the baseline and wait for the runner to come home. The CPU runner runs right through my catcher like he is a ghost and they get the run anyway.

Double play op. Throw the ball to 2nd for one. Press LT+B to throw it to first. Instead of throwing it to first he attempts to run to first when the first baseman is still there. I pressed B again and he's still running. Guess they never got those testers they were looking for in the announcements forum,alot of this stuff isn't hard to miss.

I've noticed base runners stopping when they really shouldn't. There's been three times in the game I'm currently playing they stopped when it was clearly a hit. The the 3rd time I had to tap LT to get them to go but the first 2 times resulted in outs.

Yet another base running mess up. Runner on 2nd started to go home on a bloop but I press RT slightly after passing 3rd. He doesn't actually go back to 3rd. He stands there like he's on the base but he's not. The pitcher who cut off the throw to home just stands with the ball doing nothing. I press RT again wich then designates the runner on 3rd to apprently return to home? I take a step off first and step back and the pitcher moves at least but still nothing happening. Then I just left it for a bit and it finally went on to the next batter.

a schedule bug on shortened seasons.
when simming the off days at the end of the month/beginning of the new month between games. simming the off days will also sim the first few games of the new month.

anyone else notice this.

I noticed that after accidently simming a game I no longer get pictures on the main MLB.com page in franchise. For my team or any other one. I played a game and missed one on the schedule so it automatically simmed it now the pics are gone. It just shows the teams logo.

I have played about 10 games after the PC patch and while it plays much better, the outfield defense is still horrible. I have tried the fielding icon on static and variable with the wind and it makes no difference. I still have a couple of plays every game that screw up the whole experience. Balls hitting guys in the head, fielders just standing there and letting the ball go over their head. I can't believe that the makers of this game could play more than one game without seeing this themselves.
It is a pretty good game but this makes it almost unplayable for me. If anyone has any tips on minimizing or eliminating this stuff I am open to anything right now.
And the seemingly predetermined hits are still there as well. I have a bead on the ball but the outfielder slows down and takes an angle just a bit farther out than where the ball is going to hit the ground. If the fielder would stay at full speed it would be an easy catch. Can't believe they can't fix that one either.

Was playing an online game I hit a two run homer with Carlos Guillen (Miguel Cabrera was on third) and I only got one run, plus I was given an out.

I had Lewis on 3rd and Manny up. I planned on a sac fly. The pitcher ends up throwing it to the backstop. I already had control of Lewis and hit LT right away,he didn't go. Checking the replay he had run back to 3rd and THEN went. Wich led to a run down where he managed to be safe anyway but apprently he was also out because I then had 2 outs.

In the top of the very next inning I try to dive for a ball with Rowand. Instead of diving toward the ball for some reason he dove AWAY from the ball. Same inning I watch the AI some how magically hit a ball that wasn't hittable and they clearly missed,it turned out to be a fly out but that's besides the point.

Another half inning later...
On a grounder I told the runner going from 2nd to pass 3rd and go home expecting the AI to try for a double play. HE STOPS AT 3RD. Finally goes but is again too late and caught in a rundown. Here's the kicker. HE'S CALLED SAFE at 3rd. But out. He was called safe. But then out.

Yet another half inning later...
Lost another base runner because he went back to first on a bloop that the fielder had no chance of catching instead of going to 2nd like I told him to! LT is to ADVANCE right?

Tampa Bay Dodgers..?

Loaded up game 2 of my Franchise last night as the Red Sox, and as they took the field, something strange caught my eye.... I was playing the Rays, the Rays were all there, but they were all wearing LA Dodger uniforms... No kidding. Very odd. The players were correct, and the announcers named all the right guys, but the uniforms and hats were Dodger unis...

I'd like to share my theroy on all the base running problems.

The AI is programmed like this...

Ball is hit
Is ball on ground?
Run
Is ball in air?
Return to base

There's no...

Is ball in air?
Yes
Is ball going to be caught?
No = Run
Yes = Return

It's missing an entire step I think.
It would explain the Lewis on 3rd thing with the pitch over the catchers head.
Ball is in air,return to base and not this is an error,run.

this is not a bug or glitch but i was told to post it in here. It is just a uniform mistake. Cabrera on 1st for the A's...I'm loading up to steal second...Lackey goes for pickoff at first...Cabrera dives back in safely, then gets up and runs to second while the first baseman is holding the ball watching him...
