I don't know why exactly so not sure it's a bug but it seems double plays are nearly impossible to turn. There might be some sort of problem there.

Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
Seems like the base hits are pre-determined on some at bats. My outfielder will take an angle to catch the ball on a bounce when if I could take control of him he could have easily caught the ball but when I move the stick to change his route he keeps going in a straight line to the wrong spot. The outfield slow down stuff is horrible.
Also when you hit pause and then "substitutions" to put in a pinch hitter it shows the batting averages from the previous year even if you are in a franchise. I am 15 games into mine so it should be showing the current years averages.
Not as big a deal but on the jumbotrons the averages don't update after each at bat. It just shows the average the batter had coming into the game for the duration of the contest.
I really like the game but it would be really good to have alot of these silly things fixed.
By the way, I am playing the PC version.Comment

Even though injured players show in my lineup highlighted in yellow, 2K9 does not require me to replace them when starting a new game.Comment

Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
Well theres a lot of things broken in this game. But the CPU hitting is just rediculous. I played game using the National League classics against the Toronto Blue Jays. My starter was Nolan Ryan. How many strike outs did he get in the game? NONE. In fact the Blue JAys only missed hitting one fast ball the entire game. This is not realism. I dont care if its Legend level or any level. No one can hit fast balls as well as the AI in this game. If a guy throws a 95 mph fast ball down the middle to a hall of famer it will get hit SOMETIMES. Not everytime. The hitters are still going to strike out sometimes too. You simply cant get strike outs with great fast balls in this game and that is just wrong.Comment

My A's at Royals:
Holliday hits a hot shot in the hole...SS dives and grabs it...gets up and throws to first - and Holliday is out because he ran wide of first base in order to round the bag and head for second instead of running through the bag...another stupid bug...Comment

i've about have it with the bugs in this game. if there wasn't so many. i would enjoy this and it would be fun to play. well it doesn't help my game freezes all the time, i don't think i have played more than 5 games in a row without it freezing. the cpu batting aggression, and the 1B stepping off the bag. i can't take it anymore.Jerm

Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
Runners on first and second. One out. 2-2 count. Daisuke (me) throws a curveball in the dirt, which Jeter check swings at. It gets by Varitek, but instead of going to the camera view behind the plate so I can get the ball, it goes to the umpire to see if Jeter swung!!!!! I can't locate the ball, and the runner from second scores and the runner on first goes to third!Comment

Petco Park Bullpens reversed?
I noticed as I played by first 2 games at Petco that they have switched the home team's bullpen to the pen along the right field line and the visitors use the center field pen. Do any Padres fans know if they're making that switch for this year at Petco? I know when the park opened in '04 there was talk that the home team might use the right field line pen because it was a shorter walk to the dugout, plus it had something to do with Hoffman's usual warm-up routine that he had back in the Qualcomm days.
Each of the previous MLB 2ks have had the home team warming in the center field pen and the visitors using the rightfield pen. I was just wondering if the switch in this year's game is reflecting a change for the real-life '09 Padres?
Also, as a side note. For future reference, 2k, after the '04 season they moved the right-centerfield wall in from 411 to 400 ft. The all previous MLB2ks have still got the old dimensions for Petco.Comment

Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
I know I said before the strike zone was broken and there was rediculous strikes being called that are CLEARLY balls but this one takes the ****ing cake.
A ball I didn't swing at IN THE DIRT AND PASSED BY THE CATCHER was called a strike.
ENTIRELY rediculous and unacceptable.
It won't let me take a replay of it either. Actually after anything shady has happend I haven't been able to get a replay of it.Comment
