I had one where after I went to the pause menu in-game and backed out, the menu stayed up but the game kept going (xbox360).

Very odd, and the only time it happened. I had to quit the game as it wouldn't reset.

Pickoffs in this game need some serious fixing. I have the pickoff slider at zero and I still can get pickoffs anytime I want. It seriously hurts the realism

Here's a good example of the 1B thing a lot of people are running into...courtesy of Blzer:

Are we sure this is a bug. It happens too often, fine. But I don't know that it's a bug. In this video I saw a throw in the red thrown in the run, that went to the side of the bag and the 1b was forced to lift his foot to make the catch. This isn't anywhere near the top of my fix list. But then again, it has never happened to me after about 10 games.

I never let my throw get in the red so this has never happened to me. I truly believe it's how much power you put into your throws.

I will also say that this is the smallest 2k bugs/glitches thread I have ever seen since being a part of OS. Now that may not mean anything to some, but to me it means this game is not nearly as bad as some make it out to be, bugs and all. Sorry, getting back on topic now...........

I was asked today to send in the critical issues report. I did that and its now in the hands of the VC developers.

Errors are getting incorrectly scored.

A couple of cases:

- Hit to the outfield, the center fielder comes in on it to field. The ball's already hit the ground, so the CF is simply coming in to grab it. The ball bounces off his leg, and he has to go back and grab it. The batter doesn't advance past first base, no harm is done, yet an error is charged.

- CPU has runners on 1st and third, one out. Ball is hit to my third baseman and the runner on third breaks for him. The ball bounces off of the third baseman's leg, but he manages to recover and throw the runner out at the plate. However, an error is still charged.

I don't know if this is my disc or a bug in the game...
I was playing an online game with the Mariners. I think it's the second inning (maybe it was the first). Everything is fine. The guy hits a single off of King Felix. The next batter steps up to the plate and I cannot see the "LB" list of pitches with their trajectory and movement. Nothing. I pause the game, unpause it, and still nothing is there. I have to pitch only fastballs and changeups for the rest of the game because I don't know what else Felix packs, as this is the first game I played with the Mariners. Of course he gets rocked and I have to take him out and pitch with pitchers who I have no clue what they throw either (Rowland-Smith and Walker). Luckily I won, but still, very annoying.
Has anyone else seen (or not seen as the case may be) this?

Franchise mode: Players don't fully recover from minor injuries -- stays at 1 day remaining

Bottom of 9th on: game doesn't immediately conclude when the winning run scores, allowing multiple runs to cross the plate on base hits.

Pickoffs at 2nd base are absolutely broken. My friend (who is a casual gamer) came over today and I let him play MLB 2k9. Every time the CPU got a man on 2nd base he successfully picked them off. This happened a total of 11 times in 3 games. Again, he is a casual gamer and this pissed him off along with the computer always hacking like Pete Incoviglia enough that he said he probably will just stick with 2k8.

I told him it might get patched and he said if the pickoff thing and the cpu aggression was fixed be would buy the game. Just a heads up for VC. Even the casual guy doesn't like glaring issues.

Game Freezes!

I play head to head exclusively and so far only in franchise mode. The game freezes. Both during play and the cut scenes. It froze 3 times on us. Each time was late in the game. Fustrated, we pulled it out and went back to NHL '09.

Returned the game to Gamestop this afternoon for a new copy of MLB 2K9. Played. 1st Game back with new CD, it froze up again in the 8th inning. What gives here? Nevermind some of the bugs in the game, I have a $65 coaster.

Well i guess its a bug, but i dont think the 1:00 games are supposed to end at pitch black night, so i guess the time of day is speed up and needs to be slowed down, then again, it just might be the way the game is.

quick question is there a way 2 run quicker, i cant steal a base for nothing. i always take 3 steps off the bag and always a dead duck at second. not even with brent gardner on the yanks

Has anyone mentioned the glitch where you try to steal 2B and the pitcher throws to first, runner dives back, and then gets up and runs to second while the first baseman stands there and watches?

Happened three times in a row in the same inning.

Had a freeze at a black screen transistioning into a replay in the 8th inning. Was finally having a decent game too.
