Runners on 1st and 3rd. I take a 3 step lead off first and every time the pitcher throws to 3rd instead.

Easy fly into foul territory. 3rd baseman goes to get it. Puts glove up to catch it. Ball magically goes THROUGH him.

Just an inning later.
Easy fly into foul territory. 1st baseman goes to get it. Puts glove up to catch it. Does some sort of dance and misses the ball. (I really don't know how to describe what happend better than that.)

Neither incident charged as an error wich was good at least.

Great how you can't get replays of any of this crap either huh?

This one is special...

Runner on 1st.
Fly ball to 2nd baseman.
I tell the runner to return.
He takes 3 steps and then starts towards 2nd.
Stops by turning in towards the infield,stepping on the edge of the green where it's cut for first base. Ya know the part that would look like a bracket ( the top of that.
Then proceeds to stand there while the 2nd baseman catches the ball.
Upon the 2nd baseman throwing the ball back to first the runner attempts to cut through the first baseman and run in the infield.
Out of course.

I got to save the replay this time.

A pitch was thrown,looked like a ball,ump said ball but it was counted a strike.

I throw an inside strike, the CPU swings, it hits their hands and they call a HBP. Ugh.

Anyone figure out why you end with one of your starters in your bullpen and still in the rotation during franchises? Not a huge deal because if you just send him down and call him back up it takes the care of the problem, but it's just annoying having to do that.

It cut off an error for the AI! They threw to 3rd and it missed,instead of getting to advance runners it just went to a cutscene for the next batter. Obviously didn't go into the stands either or they still would've advanced.

earlier in this thread I said that the phillies alternate batting helmet is wrong. Well I am wrong. They actually are wearing the blue batting helmet with the red brim.

Not being able to throw the AI runners out has to be a glitch. I'm about 2 for 30 with Molina with catcher throw out success at 100. That's rediculous. The last guy had NO LEAD AT ALL and it was a fastball.

I also just caught a ball with a shoestring catch that wasn't an out but should've been.

I just had a game where the umping was so bad I just turned it straight off. I don't know if it's the collision detection or what but it needs to be fixed.

Just had the can't throw out the runner at the plate problem. That's it. I'm done.

there are way too many bugs/glitches in this game to count or remember. Here's a few...

1) I had runners on first and third. For no reason, the guy on third tries to steal home and obviously gets thrown out, but then while he's getting picked off, the guy on first decides to try to steal as well. DP, end of inning. (this has happened to me TWICE now!!!).

2) I had runners on second and third. I get a hit to right field, and the man on third takes off for home. I switch my control to the man on second, to get him to MOVE (because he's just standing there on the base) and as soon as as I do, the man on third (who is now about five feet from home plate, stops, turns around, and retreats to third base. The man on second who I was trying to send to third has to retreat now, only to get thrown out.

3) My starting pitcher exits in the middle of the 7th inning with an injury. His replacement comes out...in the BOTTOM of the 7th inning for the OTHER team. Actually, it's both him and the other team's pitcher on the mound at the same time. It only lasted for one batter, but VERY weird.

4) The MLB lineups are screwy. A month into the season, and I look around and see that Ichiro has played a total of three games for Seattle. No injury, either. They got Griffey starting in CF, while Ichiro doesn't get even a whiff of either L or R. I can only imagine how many other gaffs this game has.

5) I try to turn a 6-4-3 DP. My 2Bman makes a quick throw to the 1Bman, who doesn't even make an attempt to catch the ball. It passes by head by six inches. The replay shows the 1Bman looking at third base the whole time.

6) I've had a LOT of routine popflies that have been misplayed by my outfield...that's nothing new to any of you. But the funniest one yet just happened last night. My left fielder goes all squirrelly on me but I manage to get him to the exact spot I need to be to make the catch. Only, he doesn't make the catch. Doesn't even try. Instead the ball BOUNCES off his head and rolls into the LF corner. Of course, my LFer doesn't go after it (I guess he's stunned or something, but I can't get him to move). Instead, my CFer has to come over and get the ball and throw it back in. Too late, it's an inside the park HR...by Jim Thome!!! LOL.

I've been finding that I usually have a headscratcher in every game I play. MLB09 is turning out to be a giant turd, and likely the last baseball game I buy from 2ksports.

I posted this in the Franchise Progress thread a while back, but I think it belongs here as well.

In Franchise mode, I had 10 players with the exact same stat line. Only part way into the season, all 10 (which included 2 American League pitchers) had played 200+ games, had over 200 RBI, and showed many other statisticall oddities.

This affected awards, as players with the odd stats won both league MVPs and other major individual titles. This happened two years in a row in my franchise, which is now unable to advance into its 3rd season due to locking up when I select "Advance to Next Season" in the offseason task menu.

I changed pitchers last night and the manager from the opposing team came to the mound, talked to my piitcher, took the ball from him, and made the change!

Two things...first of all, I'm aware of the problem of outfielders dropping fly balls, but something happened a few nights ago where my outfielders wouldn't do anything but dive after the ball, as soon as it left the bat, my outfielder dove, got up, dove again. All the while the guy who hit scored an inside the park homerun. Really annoying. It looked like my outfielder was having a seizure.

Second thing. Not really a glitch, but, Fenway Park needs to be fixed. There is basically no crowd there. The outfield looks like there's about 250 seats total, and the rest of the park looks like about 500 seats total, from the third baseline all the way around home plate to the outfield down first base line. Really a let down. It feels like I'm playing in front of 150 people, which really takes away from the experience.

Im using the Yankees on Franchise mode.

At this moment:

I have about 4 guys on the DL right now...

They each had a few days except for Nady's torn ACL.

Anyways. Once the amount of days have matured. The CPU automatically places them on the 15 day-DL becuase they have the injury again.. Every game I play, the CPU places each of the 4 players on the DL for 15 days... HOw the hell do i stop this from happening.

It's not the franchise settings becuase I have it so then I manage the DL not the CPU.

A laugh out loud glitch that I have only seen once...I went to sub in a new catcher because I had pinch hit for the old catcher the previous inning. I go to sub the guy in and the other catcher gets up, jogs to the mound, THREW me, and off into oblivion! So I wait for another catcher to show up that never does, so the batter is just standing there waiting for the pitcher. I figure what they hey and throw and pitch that goes through the stikezone and all the way to the backstop! The new cather showed up for the next pitch though.

My main question is though...are some teams glitchier than others. My example is starting with the red sox and having all sorts of fielding issues (pre-patch) switching to the mets and having little to no issues at all...and then switching back to red sox (post patch) with all sorts of fielding issues again....

Were there different development teams assigned to each MLB team, some doing better work than others??
