I'm really liking it. Just beat the Cubbies by drawing a walk in the bottom of the 9th. I had 3 "excuse me" singles to load the bases and drew a walk with Phillips to win it. I really need to settle down and stop free swinging. I only saw one really annoying anomaly the whole game. When Phillips got the walk on an inside pitch, he went into this weird animation where it looked like his arm was totally out of socket. Other than that, it was a fun (more than sim) kind of game. It's really kinda geared toward offense, but it is fun. And grapically really better than I expected. Overall, with maybe a patch for some things like fielders arms and CPU plate discipline, and some nice modding, I think I've finally found a game to replace MVP.

How bad is it ? They looked better in the gameplay videos I've seen. How many pitches did you throw that game ?

The pitcher covering 1rst base was too slow, the batter got a hit because the pitcher wasn't on base fast enough. Other than that, I'm very happy. BTW, what batting camera is everyone using?

78 with Homer Bailey for the CG. What's funny is I did see some taken third strikes (2) and then the Cubs did start to play some small ball in the later innings. There was some definite strategy going on. But what was weird is it just seemed like a condensed version of baseball. Made to have all the elements of baseball, but with a slant towards faster pacing. It's not bad, but you can see the vision. This game isn't made for long counts, but quick execution in either hitting or pitching. One thing that was kinda "huh," there wasn't one visit by the CPU manager, even at the end. It was kind of "I'm gonna let you win or lose it." And it kinda didn't make sense, because you could tell the pitcher was rattled. Overall I'm liking it, it just needs some more AI tweaking toward "sim" IMO... I need to go up a level and see what that holds. Maybe it's just from playing on default.... I'm gonna see later.

Thanks for the detailed answer. I appreciate it. They should make a slider or sliders to adjust how pitch counts unfold. One side of the slider or sliders being quick and the other being more of a drawn out simlulation.

Okay this kinda is an "uh-oh." I was sitting on an away pitch, but this left the yard a little too quick for my liking.

Hmmm...I am having some framerate slowdown when the ball gets hit into the field. I got a dual core 6420 processor, with an ATI 4870 1GB. I maxed everything, but I think I might not put the gfx so high.

Thanks for letting me know, that is great. I just got home and started installing.

I'll need a few minutes before I mod the hell out of it.

I'm not sure if my video card is going to be able to handle the game. It meets the minimum requirements, but it does meet the recommended video RAM (mine's 256k vs. 512k). The Shader versions are 3.0. Anybody else running the game on a similar video card?

Just joking around, but I hope you mean MB instead K.

I'm not buying this completely on principal. No patch for nba pc 5 months later, no buy for mlb.

I know they don't care...but sometimes ya just gotta take a stand.

I can't for the life of me figure out how to switch from Swing Stick to classic. Any help? Thanks!

I was wondering the same thing. It was easy to do on the 360 demo, but that doesn't work on the PC version. I would like to give it a try with the old button method. I actually like the swing stick, but it would be nice to be able to give it a try the old way. I'm using the 360 pad on the PC.

Yeah, if anyone figures this thing out (regarding the classic controls) please post. I'm beginning to think they didnt include it with the PC version.

                              Thanks

I noticed everything happening a little to quick in fast play mode.
