Does the PC version give you the ability to save your game between innings by any chance? I rarely play games on PC, but I know in the past that was usually something PC versions of games would have that consoles would not, and it could push me over the top to go PC instead of 360.

I have 2K9, and it did allow you to save games after completed half innings. I still have a few saves of games I didn't finish

It amazes me that this feature isn't in consoles yet. I had a baseball game for the PS1, I can't remember the title. I think it was All Star Baseball or something like that. I think it was 1997 or so, and even way back then, I was able to save a game in the middle.

I will be picking up the PC version though, I like what I've seen thus far. I think it'll play well on my laptop.

I can't wait for tomorrow. I'll be getting it from Best Buy. I'm waiting to be able to do this:

The 360 version has had this feature for a few years now too.

Oh, OK. I've been playing MVP 05 on PC for the past few years, so I haven't really kept up to date with the console baseball games. But I still wonder why it hasn't been done across the board in other games.

No one else is worried that there has been zero information given to the PC version?

Yeah, I got my "ready for pickup" e-mail today. So tomorrow at 10:00AM, I'm gonna have it! It would have been nice for them to have sent guys like MVP Mods a pre-release copy so they could have been seeing what they could do with it. I'm just hoping there is some type of online functionality. They've hinted but not confirmed....

Actually, like in your other post, it would have been nice for some info on the PC version, but I'm not really worried. I just want it to be supported better than NBA2k. But if it runs well offline and has no major bugs, I'll be good. I just want to feed my "graphics 'ho!" After playing NBA2k for about a week solid at 1080p, my 360 is looking pretty ugly. And the demo of MLB2k didn't help things. I want to see if I can run 2k at the same level as my other games on PC. If I can, man it's over. Might give my son the 360! LOL!

Well, 2K PC games are basically direct ports from the consoles (minus online play), so all the info realeased about the 360/PS3 version applies to PC as well, aside from the online stuff, unless they added it this year to PC, but I highly doubt it.

Are the console versions not ports from the PC? I was of the belief that the game would be designed and programmed on a computer and ported to the respective console.

As long as you don't expect a patch to fix any potential bugs then go for it...

I have the PC version of NBA 2k10 and have been waiting 5 months for a single patch...the consoles have gotten 2...

No problem. I'm gonna try and have it up and running by 11-ish. My son gets out of Pre-school at 12:15, but my Mother in Law will be getting him. I should have something up before he gets home. Otherwise it'll be around 2:00. That's nap time for both boys!

P.S. I'm gonna try and run FRAPS to get some screenies and video footage. Hopefully my system will have enough juice to get something worthwhile. Man, I need (want) an i-7 system!
