2k needs to hire some professional s.q.a testers. people that will pay attention to the intricacies of baseball, people that know that testing is boring.

did they even have anyone test if errors or injuries were part of the game. how simple would it be to test errors- didnt they have testers assigned specifically, to test this.

part of the problem could be, that the folks hired to manage different aspects of the game, probably dont have an interest in gaming. they might have software project management experience, but arent passionate about gaming. they literally treat video games as child's play.

I also believe that there may be a huge communications gap between managers, testers, and developers/programmers.

2k's continued foul ups are disconcerting. The initial decisions involved in this game make no sense what so ever.

I wonder if they have weekly meetings with all those involved in the development of this game.

Maybe the staff working on 2k10 got confused and thought they were working on the Bigs.

Even as a PS3 owner, I decided to give them a shot this year. The game is fun to play, but without errors, injuries, infield popups, foul territory popups, and the franchise issues I'm done. I feel like a sucker waiting around for 2 months assuming the obvious things would be taken care of. But boy I sure am glad that the shadows on the outfield walls have been corrected.

Back to either the Show or MVP 2005. The only 2K sports game I will ever buy from here on out is the NFL game (if it ever happens) or a new Power Pros baseball.

Yeah! Grandma Henry was their sole & only game tester! Boy, she was good at it wasn't she?

2K Sports just banned me for a week for what they call "trolling". Are you serious? All I was doing was stating my opinion for the patch/game & doing so in an appropriate way too. I don't care really! They can't take criticism in an adult manner! They're offensive as heck over there. I could care less!

Im a franchise lover, that first thing i go to when i get any sports game. So i heard that franchise is useless after 1 year because of generated rookies???? what the hell????? Thank god I gamefly it, going in the mailbox tomorrow and im done with 2k baseball. So basically i only have 1 sports game to play now i gave up on 2k baseball. NBA2k is nearing the edge of me giving up after their last horrible patch. Already done with madden and ncaa football, now im done with 2k baseball. Damn my list of sports has now drop just to NBA2k. Is the sports games genre this bad????

Its just unfortunate that I will be left with no baseball game this year. 2K10 will get added to the not purchased pile just like madden 09. I do really want to buy a baseball game that I can play. Maybe by not buying it this year they will step it up next year. I just wish there was a better way of getting a quality product without giving up a sports title for the whole season. Fool me once blame on you. Fool me since the platform launched blame on me.

Just as someone else said. You can't say anything over at 2K Sports without criticism. I was placed on a 1 week ban just for expressing my opinion in an adult & polite manner over there. I don't care to go back to their forums anyhow. :o

Poor AI roster management
Unrealistic stats
Edit limit still in place

Is this about right? Anything I am missing? I really want to play a baseball game on my 360 for once but as a franchise guy, I am hearing it's not worth it. Does this pretty much mean I should not purchase this even post patch?

Why oh why is MVP 2005 still a better franchise game in the year 2010?

Be patient...remember it takes 2k 4-5 months after game release to get patches to PC versions...

Is it really that bad, I too am a franchise guy and I want a baseball game this year and I do not want to have to buy a PS3 to get a good one. I thought from the reviews the franchise in 2k10 was solid.

Please some one elaborate on this, I was ready to buy today but now I may wait.

The console versions already have patches out. Why not the PC?? It's taking too long.

Since 2K failed to even release a patch for the PC last year, consider yourself lucky if they ever release one at all. Sadly, PCs are more complicated to program for than consoles. And since PC sales are hardly even a blip on the sales numbers, 2K will not spend a lot of resources on that version.

It may not be fair, but it's reality. I would be surprised if 2K sold 10K copies of the PC version. Your options are to accept it and wait, or get mad and refuse to buy 2K products ever again. But since there are so few of you, 2K is still not going to sweat losing your business.
