What a damn joke. This is my last game for 2k sports. They basically 1 major thing (stamina) with a bunch of other little things that I could have lived with. Like was stated, the injury and error thing is a joke. They don't even need an animation for injuries, just a thing saying he's out. This makes depth almost irrelevant other than to give guys a rest. How can either not be added is just ridiculous. It's like having a basketball game with no out of bounds or fouls or free throws. I still play the game pretty frequently, but it's unacceptable for those to be in. I'm happy for the fixes they are adding, but to not added those to the patch are completely unacceptable and wrong.

So something that was already in every previous version of this game somehow got omitted and no one at 2K noticed? Better yet, how was it gone in the first place? Also, the lack of salary fixes for franchise play takes the sim out of that. So, flawed franchise, flawed gameplay and another few years of 2K exclusiveness. Thanks MLB.

The excuse about needing additional animations for injuries/errors is TOTAL BS. There are already a few error animations in the game. Why can't you increase the frequency of seeing these animations and add an error to the totals. If you need a player to wriggle around on the ground or something just to cause an injury is ridiculous. Why can't you do a pop up screen saying someone is injured, even if you have to do it after a game.

Who in their right mind develops a baseball game with no errors/injuries??

I agree! 2K Sports is the only company that would make a baseball game without any errors & injuries. This is about as sorry as you can get. What a big joke. I'm done with this baseball game series & will exclusively stick with The Show in the future.

I almost feel bad for the Devs and the Community Relations guys.

I mean, nobody goes into a game wanting to make a lame duck. I doubt it's their decision that things are so ****ed.

And then the CR guys catch all the ire and brimstone from us players since they're the closest thing we have to a vent for our frustrations.

Talk about a thankless job.

Well at least we should be able to get a full roster from A to majors (if 1250 is enough....which combined with , the injury and error thing really kills it for me. I see errors once in a while, there should be a way to get more. I just don't get how they're not in a baseball game. It's better than nothing...I mean I'm happy that the stamina will be fixed (or so it says) and the fixes they did implement will make a better game surely, but it just kills me that they can't be in. I'll still play, overall this game is fun, but it just sucks, I though I'd they'd be fixed. 2k will have to put out a great game next year before I would even think of purchasing it. Certainly no more release purchases of 2k sports games. People have a big hate for EA, but they're far and away better at customer service than 2k has been since release. At least they seem to be less deceitful with the patch notes and updates, but who knows guess we'll see when the patch is out, hopefully tomorrow or Monday.

You can create 41 players per franchise, if my math is correct. So a decent chance you get all the AA and AAA rosters, as well as the top 100 prospects.

Man so it's still not enough. They can't do anything right. Thanks for doing the math there nld, I never calculate it, just seemed like it'd be enough with the real players, but seems like it isn't.


Does anyone know the trade-in value? I think I may just cut my losses if I can get enough.....doubt it'll be much though, so I'll probably end up keeping it.

What about not being able to use current rosters to launch MY PLAYER mode. It freezes every single time! The default roster has grown on me. I think the patch list is about a 5/10 if that.
I have only had the game for 10 days but have searched these forums and read about most the lurking problems and yeah well they werent addressed. I am content with the 1250 edit limit but with franchise limited and No current rosters in my player its crapless

I'm simply shocked that errors didn't get patched. I guess I'm an idiot. For a dev team to not include them in the first place means it was an easy omission for them. Who really keeps tracking of them anyways? The box score reads runs, hits and errors but I doubt most people keep track of that third column. They still track 2/3 of those stats right?

There are some nice fixes for me below but to omit errors makes no sense.

-Player of the Game fixed
-Pause screen will show the hand of the batter now instead of the number
-Show pitcher energy instead of stamina in pitcher screens
-Check swings (PS3 finally gets them)
-Composure not automatically fixed on mound visits
-fixed cpu pitcher fatigue and have the cpu not leave the pitcher in so long
-outfielders wouldn't go into lazy throw animation on close play scenarios
-made it easier to steal
-tuned AI's decision making when throwing to cutoff and home
-toned down arm strength for fielders
-changed fielder speed to 20 as the default
-catcher will now make tags on all close plays
-made it harder for lower rated pitchers to paint corners

I hope someone hammers them big time on this. I feel that even though that they (2K - regardless of the actual development team) have produced crappy and incomplete baseball games for 5 straight years (2K6-2K10), they have constantly been given extra margin for error because of one reason or another. IMO, enough is enough and they have been given far too much room.

I hope that one (or all) of these companies (OS, IGN, Gamespot, etc.) just puts out an article and absolutely shreds this game and how incomplete it is in almost every aspect of baseball.

It's been said over and over, but how in the hell do you put out a baseball game with no errors and a sports game with no injuries, especially when both of these things were in last years game.

I still can't get over how 2K Sports had Ronnie post the explanation to the errors/injuries situation. That made absolutely no sense & is a poor explanation for this bull!

I just traded my game in for Red Dead Redemption today. This will be my last purchase of the MLB 2K series baseball game again. Heck, I don't even wanna call it a baseball game.

It's certainly a poor excuse for a baseball game. Having made a baseball game without errors/injuries? Are you seruious as John McEnroe would say? This is an absolute headscratcher. What a bunch of technology deficient people over at 2K Sports. Geez!
