Not to pile on, but here's one thing I really don't understand: Why have a twitter account where you can have free and constant updates if you don't use it to its full effectiveness by giving your consumers a better understanding of the issues/processes.

Obviously the guys working on the patch are working their @$$ off to get it done in time. They also know what issues they have attempted to correct. However, the last few updates we have received were prompted by Ron being asked a question. Here's an idea: You have free dialogue with your consumers and they will pull for you. When you give us as much information as possible it helps us sympathize with the work that is being done and helps stave off the negativity that grows by the day without any updates or patch notes.

They know there are serious issues with a number of areas in this game (AI Management, injuries, player progression, Amateur Draft, etc.) and they are obviously working to correct them. However, if there's an issue where they CAN'T fix something for some reason, it would be nice to be leveled with. There's obviously a good reason for the delay, for things being the way they are, and it would help to get the full story, again, to quell any negativity that is being bred here and across the net daily.

And what's with the secrecy on the patch notes? This isn't the effing CIA afterall. It's also not like they are releasing a new game and are keeping modes/changes close to their vest so competition can't one-up them. That I can understand, but the only harm of releasing patch notes early is accountability for their own work, which might make sense since it seems to be missing over at 2K with their last few releases.

Grow a pair 2k, give us the patch notes and level with us--honesty goes a long way.

Agreed. Ron at 2k has not even made a post on the 2k boards since March 30 (over a month), I mean NO POSTS whatsoever in any forum (not just regarding the patch).

It's almost a month after the planned release. I went from maybe buying this game to probably not even renting...

Amen. I hate how the Madden series holds all the power. "buy us or buy nothing" really stinks. ESPN NFL 2K, or whatever it was called, was actually a pretty cool game. I loved the Chris Berman halftime highlight show.

On a side note, I clicked this thread tonight for the first time and I'm pretty shocked I've gotten to the last page and this patch still isn't out.

Until it gets approved, I understand why won't release them. They release a list of 25 things they fixed and for some reason, something goes wrong in the approval process and that list of 25 shrinks to 23 or 24 and we never hear the end of people complaining that they were lied to about the one or two things that had to get knocked off the list for one reason or another.

What would be nice is if we got a list of:

At least this gives us an idea of what we can maybe expect and can definitely not expect. Some people will have their hopes up and then let down, but as long as they preface the list with the statement that says this list can change at any time, they cover their bases...and at that point, anyone that holds anything against them was forewarned.

A list like that would be nice. Being left completely in the dark and hearing NOTHING for weeks is a joke and just attacks the heart of 2K's customer service (which is non-existent).

Exactly...they have no heart or soul, which really sucks because they lack talent as well. I could easily accept an a-hole of a company if they continuously put out superior products and I could probably put up with a few more flaws if you knew they were actually putting for their best effort, but when you get shafted on the game and the customer service, it's just hard to put up with.

Exactly. That's the worse part. Take a while to fix it......fine, but say what is going to be fixed, especially if it's about to go to Microsoft. It's ridiculous that they can't even say what needs to be fixed. The thing that irritates me the most though is the fact that you actually have to make sure you take their words at exactly what they say. They're very deceitful about the way they word stuff, making it actually seem like something is fixed, when it isn't. I've tried to be understanding with them, but I'm about to my limits. I know a lot of people hate EA, but they don't act like this and their games are far less buggy than this. Might be my last 2k Sports game unless they come out with Hoops, or really impress me with this patch.

A perfect example of this was the wording about the edit limit.

I would really appreciate if they would just give us an idea on what they worked on, or tried to fix. I think a lot of ppl would be understanding if they just produced a list on what they worked on.

Sony and MS are first party. It has to pass their compliance teams, then it will be released. If they find any problems, it gets kicked back to 2k.
