It's weird to me. I bought this game the day it came out and have only played about 10 games total. But my issues don't seem to have anything to do with what other gamers are discussing. The only problems I experienced that had been mentioned were no errors (which personally isn't the end of the world as much as it is a minor nuisance), and the player of the game being the worst statistical performer of that particular game. I play as the Tigers and it seemed whoever went 0-4 would be player of the game, again more of a nuisance than anything.

My major issue was with something that only seems to happen to me: I can't hit. The only player on my team that does any damage is Miguel Cabrera, and he was absolutely unstoppable when I played. After the 10 games he was hitting like .600 with 12 HRs. No one else on my team could do anything, though. I played 2k9 and had no issue with hitting so it's just odd to me that I cannot get hits with anyone but Cabby, and he destroys everything.

My first series was against the royals and ironically the only pitcher I could hit was Greinke. Brian Bannister nearly no-hit me. The other pitcher gave up only 2 hits (both solo HR's to Cabrera).

I doubt this is something the patch will address since nobody else seems to be having this difficulty, so is there a particular slider set that most are using to get better results? or do i just suck at hitting...

The player of the game but was fixed via the first patch.
You need to play more then 10 games before you determine you cant hit.
Try MKMarsh's classic hitting sliders, they are great.

Us PS3 owners are still waiting for that one. Inge hit a walkoff HR the other day and Magglio was given the player of the game (0-5 with 2Ks).

Do you only use the power swing or something?

You know they changed how swing stick works this year right?

If you only use the power swing, that would explain why you only do well with power hitters. You must fly-out a ton.

Its only around noon where Ron and the 2K studios are. I say we give it until mid afternoon/early evening before we jump to conclusions.

Just got done emailing Ron, he's still not back at work. He said he's going to see if he can get me any info's. So here's hoping i get something soon. Hopeing he at leasts gets me the patch notes.

Ron said he wouldn't release patch notes until the patch was green lighted by the first party. It's only been 10 days since it was submitted. I think some of you guys are jumping the gun. If MS and Sony haven't approved the patch we are not getting the patch notes. I'd like to get them as soon as possible but I think we will have to wait a little bit longer.

I'm just hoping this patch is worth the wait. I've put my franchise on hold with hopes that many of the franchise breaking glitches have been repaired. If they haven't........well I guess I wait for 2k11 to play franchise

Ron is recuperating from surgery so its not like he's in the best position to release the patch notes in the first place. Kcxiv just said he's going to try to look into potentially getting updated info from Ron today regarding the patch note situation. I say we remain patient and by the end of the evening we should have some idea what is going on.

With Red Dead Redemption coming out for me in the next 10 hours, I would recommend VC gets those patch notes for 2K10 out by tonight or tomorrow, because after I put RDR in my Xbox, I don't plan on having it leave for the next few months...

If you only use the power swing, that would explain why you only do well with power hitters. You must fly-out a ton.

I try to use power swing for my sluggers and contact swing for guys with virtually no power, I'd say I use power for 3 guys and contact for the rest. I just get frustrated when it seems I'm all over the ball and I whiff and get the way too early or way too late message.

My best strategy was to try and walk and hope runners would be on when Miguel Cabrera was up, since he would just smash it out of the park every time.

Pitching didn't seem great for me either, like I would bring in a reliever with a 3+ run lead. He'd get the first two hitters out and then give up a single and suddenly he's rattled. I don't see why he should be rattled in that situation even if he has poor composure.

I was extremely excited to buy this game, but forgot I would need to wait until the roster update to get the rookies, and then would have to wait again for them to be more properly rated (ie austin jackson, brennan boesch). I got sick of waiting and just wanted to play, but it wasn't nearly as fun as I had expected and I haven't played it in weeks, now I'm waiting for this patch to give it one last chance. My fingers are crossed, even though I don't believe the issues I'm experiencing will be addressed.

When you say "classic hitting sliders" does that mean they aren't designed for thumbstick hitting? Or am I backward in that logic. Honestly the main reason I got this game over the show is I love the idea of hitting with the thumbstick, and the same for pitching, it's really cool having to manipulate the stick direction to try and throw the corresponding pitches. Thanks for the tip, though.

So am I still the only person on this forum that finds swinging to be completely unresponsive? Granted, I'm using classic swinging, but the stick is just as sluggish. It's not my TV lag, as I've never had problems like this in The Show or while pitching in 2K. It's just so unbearably sluggish though. I'll have to show you an example of it with me recording it and how poor the response time is.

At least check swings will help with that, if even a little bit.
