Re: Next Patch is coming soon
I hope we don't have to wait for the 3rd patch to come out.
I have added some mods to the game that make it better on the PC than on the console. Portraits, overlays, stadiums etc.. and I have played both.Comment

Re: Next Patch is coming soon
I've been playing it pretty much daily since the season started, playing the Padre games through MLB Today. I still enjoy it... sure, I rarely see errors or injuries, and no- it doesn't compare to the details in MVP05... but I still can play and enjoy it and feel kinda bad for you guys that can't. I think you're nit-picking and threatening to take the game back and possibly not buying it next year isn't really doing anything except making you look kinda silly. There are legit complaints, but this is really just beating a dead horse, man.Comment

Re: Next Patch is coming soon
well when it comes to spending money on a game that doesn't meet expectations, than consumers have the right to feel upset and not just satisfied with it. Guess for certain people, like me this game doesn't meet my expectations as a baseball sim but for those that don't care about the sim and just wanna have a fun game of baseball, than its a keeper. as much as I wanted to enjoy the game it just doesn't feel like baseball, no errors, rocket arms, always having to change camera settings, etc. For those that like it, good for you. For me, not worth waiting and not worth keeping.Comment

Re: Next Patch is coming soon
Here we are nearly 3 months after release and 2K is still working on fixing the current game rather than preparing for MLB 2K11. That, in my opinion, is where the problem is. Are expectations high? Sure. But for $60 the game should, at this point in next gen, be pushing the limits of the systems. Instead we get the same old game with the same old problems and will be left to wait until next year to hope that a game is released that meets expectations.Comment

They are doing the same thing. All the work done on the patch will also be implemented in MLB 2K11. It's not like what they did (whenever we find out what they actually did) won't be used in next year's game.Comment

And as a consumer living in the good ole USA it is my right to not buy the game next year and it is not making me look silly in the least bit. The manufacturer is the one who will look silly when their sales dip next year.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

Re: Next Patch is coming soon
Can they go much lower for an exclusive baseball license? The bad taste of MLB 2K9 caused the sales for 2K10 to take another hit this year. Last I checked the game hadn't sold 300,000 copies across the 360 and PS3 combined. Factor in paying out $1,000,000 for a perfect game and giving fatheads away, I don't see how 2K made any money on this game. They probably lost a fortune.Comment

It's kind of the same situation NBA Live ran into. When you put out an inferior product for several years and then finally show signs of turning the corner and competing with another company, it doesn't reflect in the sales b/c most gamers have already written off the title.
I suspect that's what's happened with 2K. Most gamers have just moved on to The Show and aren't willing to play 2K because of the bad memories.Currently Playing:
MLB The Show 25 (PS5)Comment

Re: Next Patch is coming soon
How is complaining about a baseball game that doesnt include errors or injuries making me look bad??? I am pretty sure it is making 2K look bad, that is why they have to patch it.

Re: Next Patch is coming soon
game is 3 months old
season is 2 months old
thread is 1 month old
.......still no patch.......
This was my first year for baseball on the 360, and now I know exactly what everyone has been talking about the past few years. It sucks because I used to put the Show in on PS2 in March and it didn't come out till NCAA Football. Now I've been scrambling for about 5 weeks to find something to play.
Oh well, maybe next year.......I'm a Vince McMahon Guy!
On, On, On, To Victory!!
