And ANOTHER day goes by without any news. I wonder why it takes two weeks for first parties to clear it after it has passed QA? Maybe it's low on their priority list.

I was impressed the Show was able to patch Target Field's backstop. Didn't know that patching graphics was possible. Maybe 2K should've done what Sony did and not say anything about a patch, and let it be a surprise.

Then all the fans would be irate that the devs aren't communicating with their consumers regarding potential fixes. Its really a lose-lose situation for them. If they give regular updates, people will grow impatient if the slightest delay or lack of communication occurs. If they try to "surprise" their consumers with a patch (and therefore don't communicate regarding the production of a patch) people would say the devs don't communicate with their consumers.

What it basically comes down to is SCEA has built a strong relationship with their consumers over the years, and therefore gain the benefit of the doubt regarding any issues and potential fixes with their games. Their constant appearance and feedback on these forums provides incredible goodwill among their fan base.

Two weeks is the standard time it takes to pass testing. 2K's patch just goes to the back of the line for all games and patches looking to get certified.

So with all this said It will take usually 10 to 14 days . Well this went to to the first party around the 7th. So my guess is we get notes either today or next monday. Because just count the days from the 7th to now, 10 to 14 days is anytime this week. Patches are not always Tuesday. It could be Thursday :wink: So maybe be we get something today likes notes that is and then there tell us there live sometime Thursday Early AM. And if don't get something they maybe it got bounced again like the first time.

I think 10 to 14 days is the optimistic number. NCAA patches in the past have taken up to 3 weeks before.

I won't be waiting until June. They get another week from me before it goes towards the pre-order of another game. I highly doubt it will take until then, but if so I'll move on to another game I'm not going to be held hostage for over three months just to play a game that is nothing more than above-average to begin with.

Me too. Game plays just fine to me. There's no "fatal flaws" that I've seen yet, so I'm good just playing the game as-is.

No fatal flaws?

You know generated rookies cause the game to freeze when they come up to bat right?

I mean 2 or 3 years or more into a franchise and the game freezes all the time....

Plus no injuries, no errors, the 99 fatigue bug, FA resignings....

Ummmm there's just a couple fatal flaws... Or 6 or 7....

Dont hold your breath, I wouldnt count on getting anything this week.
Which is fine with me, this game has become an after thought for me anyway.
The gameplay has become very stale and boring, that may change with the patch, maybe.
No errors, injuries, pitcher fatigue and so on have made for a very boring game.
Gives me more time for RDR and already has me looking forward to NCAA Football 11 and Madden.

He probably hasn't gotten more than a few days into franchise without throwing the controller, lol. That's how it's been for me. I haven't seen the third year because I can't get past the June draft catastrophe.
