For now, catcher's suggestions have been pretty smart about attacking the blue zones. So I've taken to pitch to that instead of spamming the weak spots. If I continue to give up a ton of runs, I may go back to IE in order to pitch more intelligently.

But pitching to the suggestions is something I've done in order to generate more balls in the past. It worked great in 2K8, and 2K10. the suggestions were too FUBAR to do this in 2K9. Basically, I force myself to throw the pitch type, and aim to somewhere in the box.
I found it. You must turn Catcher Suggestion OFF in order to enable IE. I do agree Jayhawker that the Catcher Suggestion this year is done better. I really wish IE could be enabled without have to enable the Strike Zone.

I had catcher suggestions on. I just had to enable strike zone and inside edge cause I never play with them on.

Last year you couldn't turn off auto-save in myplayer and I can't remember if you couldn't in franchise either. Regardless, was hoping someone could try this for me because I detest auto-save in sports games. Thanks!
Yes when you first start the game it creates a profile and asks if you want autosave and living rosters on

              1. Is there a simple, one button press throw option for fielding, or do you always have to use the meter?
              2. Are there any classic stadiums in the game?
              3. Is there a playoff mode, so you could play through the playoffs without going through a season?
              4. Can you get through a single game relatively quickly, and bypass all the cut scenes and other junk that tend to prolong a game?
              5. How deep do the minor leagues go and can you edit players who need editing?
              1. You can use the button for each base b(O) for first, y (TRIANGLE) for 2nd and so on, but they are pressure sensitive with the meter displayed
              2. No classic stadiums except the Polo Grounds possibly for the classic teams like last year
              3. Yes.
              4. Yes you can turn off the replays and select hurry up baseball in the options
              5. Minor leagues go to single A but I believe only AA and AAA are playable. You can edit the names but nobody is sure how many players you can edit.

Scoreboards work in franchise and my player.

                    Simming a franchise now...

Braves offered three late 20yr old prospects for Mathis and Willits + some fake prospect.

Jays offered me David Purcey, Juan Rivera, and Kyle Drabek for Alberto Callaspo, Erick Aybar and Andrew Romine. Don't they have Escobar at SS? Aybar and Romine both play SS...

Giants offered Travis Ishikawa for Andrew Romine.

D'Backs offer Chris Young for Kendry Morales.

Marlins offer Burke Badenhop and Ryan Webb for Joel Pineiro and Scott Kazmir.

If somebody could answer me ASAP I would appreciate it. I will walk out the door to buy the game if I can get the answer to this question:

Can you do a 2-user online league? I get the idea that online leagues are in the game, but is there a minimum user amount required? If I can do a 2-user league with just me and a buddy I'll run to the store right now. Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance for any answer:

                        (1) Cursor hitting - has it been miraculously revived as an option?

                        (2) Is there an option to turn off the pitch cursor while pitching in a game against CPU?

I am using Batter camera one I guess it is ( not 2 or 3 ) with no strike zone overlay.

I just got a Tweet from a fairly respected sports videogame buff that he can't recommend buying the game because it's so buggy...anyone else feel this way? I really want to get it since I only have a 360, but if bugs are ruining it for others too, guess I'll have to wait yet another year.
