I'm buying it on day one because I suck at The Show, although I'm buying both.

I need a demo and a 49.99 or lower price tag or 8.5 reviews to justify purchase.

I'd pay somewhere between $19.99-$24.99 for the PC version of MLB 2K13.

$40 max but a lot also depends on their true feature list. What have they done to improve the game?

I'll probably grab it towards the end of the season when the price lowers to about $35 or so.

Full price, but only if it's available for PC.

                  Benefits of day 1 purchase

MLB Today and MLB Today Season Mode with real stats and lineups.

Better presentation to mimic real life events.

if you wait until price drop or months later....MLB Today Season Mode only works during actual days not after.

This is one of the primary reason to get the game, because of how nice these two features are to the game and what makes it stand on it's own.

The season doesn't start for 3.5 weeks until after the game is released. There is a very good chance you will see an Amazon deal or something for $40 before the real season starts and then you can still take full advantage of MLB today if that is something you like.

I plan on getting Tomb Raider first and then trade that towards my baseball game after I complete it.

You have to be pretty hard core and in love with that feature to be "missing out" lol.

Well this is a baseball forum and not a tomb raider forum.

As an xbox only player, it's a no-brainer for me..

I used to really love the MLB Today feature, but 2K really dropped the ball in 2K12. While the MLB today Season mode was neat in theory, it was not executed well. It may be an idea that just doesn't really work.

But worse, as the season progressed, there was less and less work being done to keep the mode up-to-date. The end of the season, and worse, the playoffs, were just abandoned. And seriously, the last month of the season and the playoffs are when this mode really comes alive, as you play meaningful games with team in contention.

With the way 2K seems to be just putting this out in order to appease MLB, I have serious doubts that they are going to keep MLB Today working like they should.

2K12 worked for me, because they really nailed franchise play. Speaking of which, it is painful to play MLB Today games with a fully rested team everyday after playing franchise games with a tired bullpen and the need to get your utility guys some action.

2K13 is a still a day one purchase for me, but I can't recommend MLB Today like I could before.
