Two long time reviewers give their take on ESPN

Two guys that I have an incredible amount of respect for have weighed in on ESPN Baseball.

Dan Clarke, one of the guys who was involved in starting this very website and Bill Abner, a long time sports game reviewer for practically every major gaming site on the net have given their initial opinions of the game.

Both of their comments are a good read and let me tell you fellows, when these guys speak, E.F. Hutton listens.

I've been reading both of these guys' stuff for a long time and I don't think I've ever seen them say anything that wasn't right on the money.
No, I didn't draft Grossman on my fantasy team, what do you think I am an idiot?

It's just a really good look at the way the baseball games have been received this year. I think this quote sums it up:

So what gives? This is a VASTLY superior game to what Sega released in 2003 and yet the critics are lukewarm to it because it looks like the same game. They didn't upgrade the visuals all that much. Does that really matter? Isn't it more important that the game be better on the field rather than Adam Dunn's batting stance be 100% correct? Isn't that what we rant about all the time?

Bill Abner is 100% dead on in his comments. I can't believe some of the negative reviews that I've seen for this game. But, in the end, who cares? ESPN is a great, great game!

The suits blew it. No one gives a rats *** about FPM; they obviously misallocated resources that should have been used to address the obvious ills.
