I got a glitch for you, playing season using the Cubs, im 5-1, swept Arizona who is 0-5, go to check the Power Rankings....what do i see?.................

Ive noticed a few problems with Roster editing. Last night I was making a few of the post 1/15 transaction moves. 2 problems I ran into were:
1) When I put Loizia on Washington and went to edit the rotation, it had 6 starters. Loizia and Ohka both had 'starter 4' next to their name. When I moved Biddle to the bullpen, it would not let me change either Loizia or Ohka to starter 5. When I tried to exit out, the computer would not let me because it said I needed 5 starters in. The only way I could fix this was to have the computer make the adjustments, then go back in and re-adjust everything.
2) When putting Ordonez on the Tigers and sending a 2B down to the minors, the lineup vs. R w/DH now has 2 DH positions in it and no 2B. Not sure how this happened but I could not designate anyone to play 2B. Even weirder was that it let me exit the lineup that way.

My initial impression is that there are a lot of annoyances in roster editing for 2K5.

Ive noticed a few problems with Roster editing. Last night I was making a few of the post 1/15 transaction moves. 2 problems I ran into were:

This is because the power rankings haven't been calculated yet. If you look at your team summary it will say Power Ranking: N/A, I think you will have to wait till after the first week or month to have the power rankings actually mean something, they are just listed on the page at first in a set order (Alphabetically?)

Here's one. My 3rd baseman breaks his finger catching a hard liner (kind of cool that it happened actually), and it says he'll be out for 71 days. So I sub for him and finish the game. After the game I go to my injury screen to put him on the DL, and there is no one listed. I sim my next game and he got 2 hits. Not bad for a guy with a broken finger! That bionic surgery paid off.

I have noticed problems with setting up rosters and lineups also, I'm hoping I just don't understand something. I got Maglio Ordonez as a free agent, and when I put him in the line up I had 2 RF's and no 2B's. When I moved my 2B into the lineup, it listed him as a RF. I had to let the computer set up the lineup and tweak it form there. Again, I hope I'm just doing something wrong, or that it's an easy fix.

Pinstripe, I had very similar roster problems once I tried to make a few basic moves to keep things current. Duplicated positions in lineups, batting order changes it wouldn't let me make, players completely missing from certain lineups, etc. Nightmare.

I totally agree, I made some of the more well known transactional moves (Sosa to Balt., Ordonez, few others) but the other not so well known guys out on free agency who have signed after 1/15 I will probably just leave out there because its too much of a pain to adjust and not really user friendly.

I don't know if this is a bug or not. A ground ball is hit to the second baseman and he goes into the wrong animation. Instead of picking his glove off the ground to play the hop, he just freezes with the glove ready to catch a roller. Then, after the ball has gone through to the outfield (scored a hit, NOT an error), the right fielder goes into the "pick up ball" animation three times before actually getting the ball in his glove. This has happened three times to me- twice to my second baseman, and once to the cpu's second baseman.

I was afraid of this. Based on the past 2 espn hockey games and their baseball franchise I think they are incapable of creating a decent roster management system.
