I agree. This is one thing I never understand. Why people feel the need to adhere an established slider set, instead of customizing to their own skill. The only think I can think of is that they feel the need to compare their talents and acheivements with others. I am talking about the threads that go "I just won my 5th straight championship using so and so's sliders". Maybe it is because I am older and I learned a long time ago that nobody really cares how good I may get at a video game.

I wish that I could have the patience and testing skills necessary to create my own slider settings, but I don't have the patience for it. Therefore, I just hope and pray that someone else plays a style similar to mine. For the most part, I think that blzer's settings are well thought-out, except for pitching control. One thing that REALLY annoys me right now is the small variation in types of foul balls. They all seem to just hook out of the stadium, and the camera doesn't follow the foul ball. The ball just disappears. No collision detection, etc.

If the crowd is better this year, why do you give last year's a B and this year's a C? I think your grading system needs to have some of the kinks worked out.

You're totally right. It "should" have been "this year's grade, last year's grade". Sorry for the confusion, guys. I gave this year's game a C+, and most of that is due to the animations for the most part being the same as last year, the fact that underneath the obviously better presentation of the game, the core of the game wasn't improved nearly as well as it should have been. I told you all that I sucked at reviews, sorry about that.

You're totally right. It "should" have been "this year's grade, last year's grade". Sorry for the confusion, guys. i think he just has his grading key the other way around. he has it like "last years grade/ this years grade" but in all his summarys he talks about how mlb improved this year at least one letter grade. i think he meant to put "this years grade/last years grade" read his post and it will all make sense.

You're right, it's really hard to do this, however... half of my pitchers have full confidence, and half of them don't have any confidence (LOL that sounds funny when you read it), and it's hard to find something in between them. At least with K-Zone pitching, it is. I wish that confidence wasn't such a great factor in performance, while in last year's game I thought that it wasn't enough of a factor.

I'm sorry but this is an A game in my book. Imperfect? Yea. But the presentation and graphics are amazing and make up for some spotty animation work. The gameplay is solid with the exception of the passed ball bug and a few VERY minor issues. The GM mode is in-depth and solid, although not MVP deep.

Some people's expectations are just unreasonable.

MVP? I think it's an A game too but EA just did not advance it much at all this year. I feel like I'm playing a debugged 2004 with a few new cutscenes.

WSB 2k3 is my favorite game of all-time since it had gameplay AND graphics. Though if I can get some of the bugs fixed in 2k5...

WSB 2k3 is my favorite game of all-time since it had gameplay AND graphics. Though if I can get some of the bugs fixed in 2k5...
