I'm really tempted to pick this up so I have all 3 baseball games (wouldn't usually but have a gift certificate and some games i want to trade in so I could probably get the game for free), I was a big fan of WSB 2k3 but didn't really care for last years game but wanting to give the game another chance because I am familar with the series. Everybody keeps saying stuff about all these bugs but I'm not one to get bothered by little things, just one question what was this with people beating out infield grounders? something about the ball looping to first?

I have never seen anything like this. In fact, I have never beat out and infield grounder. There are some bugs, but most of them seem to be remedied by simple work-arounds. The game is just so much fun that I am willing to overlook its flaws. I just got bored with MVP after 30 games (great game and nails the gameplay, but I just didn't have fun) and this game just keeps capturing my attention like ASB did the past few years. Hey, it's 20 bucks and worth it in my opinion.

Yeah, its a good deal I'll also have all 3 baseball games which screams out no life but anyways for some reason I couldn't get into last years game no matter how many times I rented, I did love the GM Career mode though but WSB 2k3 was one of my fav games ever at the time so I know the interest level with this series is there.

I love the game still ... warts and all. I own MVP and it is agreat game and fundamentally a better game in almost every way(gameplay wise). That being said - it's nowhere near as fun to me as 2K5.

That's exactly my opinion as well. I guess I am just wanting to have fun playing a video game and still have a pretty realistic experience. That's what 2k5 is giving me.

Fortunately I only encountered one bug in playiing on franchise mode (the passed ball ones) because when I switch the Ai error thing to 50 then the CPU gets an unrealistic number of errors......And there is no rosterwise I don't have any problems..because when I can't put a guy in a lineup all I do is send him to aaa and move up the guy whose position is not on the lineup do the CPU thing again move up the guy I just moved down and substitute them....It's not that complicated....And game hasn'r froze on me before........Great game as long as you deal with the bugs first.............
