I do think i'll go ahead and buy the full package to help contribute more, maybe with schedule tinkering and what not.
I think we could get a legit 2013 season out of this if we play our cards right.

I really want to shoot for getting the astros moved over. You mentioned before how a blank team shows up in the NL central though? How does that affect it? Like does a team play a ghost team?

No, teams will not play against a ghost team.

I started a 52 game franchise then saved it, loaded in reditor and assigned the Astros to the AL West. Was able to sim right through to the playoffs with no problems, still just using the default schedule though.

What happens when you assign the Astros to the AL West is that only four teams show up in that divisional standing because only 4 slots are hardcoded in.

The NL Central has 6 slots hardcoded so after you remove the Astros there is one blank spot in that divisions standings, always showing a 0-0 record. From what I can tell it does no harm.

The biggest (only?) draw back is that you can only see the top 4 teams in the AL West. You can however see the record of the fifth place team in either the league standings (as long as they aren't in last place as only 14 slots there) or the power rankings.

I'm still not sure how long term schedule editing will work. i did read that Vlad is working on a fix to allow the years to work out correctly.

LOL!! You did a really nice job. And Roberto Hernandez looks good for the Rays. Man, this file is gonna be some major fun stuff!! I'm ready for baseball!!

Last note for the night for everyone..

Didn't check Stanton, but I played a quick game against the Rays, with the Nats of course, and even though his name is Roberto, Thorne Phillips and Kruk all talked about Fausto.

Last thing before I go to bed and get my 4 hours of sleep...

We've got another issue that's came up:

When you try to send down a player from HOUSTON to their AAA affiliate, it wants to send him down to the Marlins' AAA affiliate, New Orleans Zephyrs and NOT the Oklahoma City Redhawks. I do not know if any other teams are problematic this way or any of the other lower level minors are affected. I tried to send Nate Freiman down from Houston so I could call up J.D. Martinez - it's screwed up and won't let me do it. If I FIRST of all send Martinez up and THEN send Freiman down, it's leaves a cloned version of Freiman remaining on the major league roster. So I don't know what the Reditor can do for this, but add this to the list of items (along with Giancarlo's name) that will need reviewed.

Does anyone readily know what might have caused this?? Thanks!

(I have all the transactions done - I'm now going over each team to see what their latest projected lineups are looking like. I also created Brian Barden (minor league deal with the Dodgers).

Quick FYI - I uploaded a roster at 2K Share last night. I will upload the file HERE probably later tonight...

Regarding the Astros: we have another issue with a name not in the database: Nate Freiman (Rule V pick with the Astros). Something has happened with him to where he cannot be sent down to AAA and he has some strange glitch that now connects him to the Marlins. This ONLY affects him on the Astros team - any other player can correctly be sent down to the AAA affiliate.

So, two things I'm guessing here: 1) it may have to do with how other names not in the database that ended with a vowel were somehow interconnected. Silverio is on the Marlins AAA team, and he was causing problems before it was recently fixed with the Reditor. He appears to be okay, but again, I'm just shooting in the dark here.

Or, 2) it might (repeat: might) have something to do with Giancarlo Stanton's recent name change (that needs to be corrected - noted above).

But when the next file is uploaded we'll need DCNats or TVman to look at this issue because it will impact the game. Freiman, if released from the Astros, creates a clone of himself, and I don't know how that can be fixed.

As with the NBA 2K series, and those who did edits on that game, I have a love-hate relationship with the Reditor. For all the good it does, we never experienced any glitches until it was being used... Thanks, guys!

MK, i'm looking at the file I d/l last night from here and it shows Freiman's status as being on Miami's roster not Houston's. Yet when I check the roster for Houston he's on their team. WTF!!

Maybe all it will take is an adjustment (reditor) changing his team status to Houston and all will be solved?

I'll load the roster up in a bit and see if I can move him or see just where he is when playing the game, with Houston or Miami.

update: I checked the feb5 roster before dc did the contracts and Freiman is correct there (with houston). So the problem had to occur since then.

Just so its known, the only edits I did were the two names, roger bernadinas insane hitting stats, batting stances/pitching windups.

I alos wonder if there are old sig styles for hitting that are in the game but not shown? I know of thefaces that are "stowed away" but still accesable but what about old hitting animations?

I hate to do this, but could you please fix the file I HAVE PROVIDED BELOW? When I worked on the file last night I did a LOT of transactions - I've already deleted them from my Word document and this would really set things back as I'd have to spend at least an hour reading back on a website I use that tracks these stories.

It would be a big favor to all of us... Thanks! (And let me know how we want to proceed on this request)...

I fixed Freiman so he is with Houston as reserve player and now once again wearing an Astros hat!

I did one other thing to the roster and that was to add Bryce Harper's cyberface.
