Re: Creating **The 'PERFECT' Slider Set**
Hows All Star treatin you Psycho? I've played a few games on it and it seems to play pretty well.
The only thing I've kinda noticed is that the cpu doesn't take enough strikes on All Star. They seem to swing away at most strikes and make great contact. What do u guys think?Last edited by jpcool202020; 06-30-2007, 06:12 PM.Comment

Re: Creating **The 'PERFECT' Slider Set**
Not played a game yet JP, will do tomorrow. You got DD on? That should start to help with the CPU striking out more.Comment

Re: Creating **The 'PERFECT' Slider Set**
All Star default is definitely not the way to go. Even with DD on, the cpu swings and hits almost every strike. They also take about 99.9% of balls. The game plays well now, but the cpu batting is horrendous on all star. I hate to say it, but looks like we need new sliders afterall.Comment

I've had 3 excellent games thus far.Comment

Well Mizzourah, I don't know if you smoke a certain green plant or not, but I tried about 10 straight games on All Star with DD and H/C Teams... and The cpu batting is just outrageous. Wandy Rodriguez, a SP on the Astros, went yard on me first pitch. Everyone swings at almost everything and they make monsterous contact. There is no such thing as working a corner. In fact, I usualy can get out of an inning in 3 pitches since the cpu swings at everything. We need new sliders. Its that simple. Is anyone working on any?Comment

Re: Creating **The 'PERFECT' Slider Set**
Contact for CPU is set at 60 on the All Star, thats why K's are hard. Contact at 45 was perfect for me before, averaging the just the right amount of K's, more with better pitchers etc.
Right guys, played a few test games and not happy with default All Star at all, even on contact 45 the CPU connects with most things inside the zone and is insanely hard to K, i struck out 1 guy with CC Sabathia in 7 innings, so ive made some tweaks to the latest "old" perfect set to compensate for the definate power 2k has toned down with the patch.
I use classic stick, hence no power swing or step influence sliders are needed. If you use Classic give these a whirl for a few games and report back chaps.
p.s. these are meant to be the same all the time i.e. turn DD and Hot/Cold OFF.

I haven't had an opposing team's pitcher get a hit on me yet. Weird, I'm not seeing the stuff you are seeing. (shrugs shoulders)
Now if I could only get more hits and quit striking out so much.Comment

Re: Creating **The 'PERFECT' Slider Set**
For swing stick increase them both by 5, go with 25 contact and 10 power, let me know how you go.Comment

Tried 2 games with these:
5-1 win over the Reds, 11K and 3 HR (1 with Zambrano)
9-1 win over the Mets, 3K and 5 HR
The power does seem toned down, but I still had the above homers. The cpu offense was all but naught. I just don't know!Comment
