Re: Creating **The 'PERFECT' Slider Set**

I just thought I'd add that I have been using these in a San Diego GM career I started a month or so ago and they have been outstanding...I just got to 15-15 and am 2.5 out in the West. I have had a huge variety of games with a 20-11 and some 2-1, 1-0 types as well.

For those who haven't tried this game in a while, I am wondering if the patch fixed more than just gameplay issues. I am a month and a half into my season and I have only seen one trade (Randy Winn for Shawn Green) and several players have been hurt, gone on the DL, and been promoted back to the major league roster once they recovered.

I hit A with one exception...I will use the left stick for left/right, just not up/down.

Oh ya...I actually only use the left/right thing if I guess the pitch location and it's outside or inside. 99% of the time I just hit A and it works fine.

After my first series, I was the M's vs. the A's. I lost 8-3, 7-1, and won 7-6. The cpu hits too many hrs even off my perfect pitches. They hit 11 hrs in the series which is a little over 3 per game, not too bad i guess. I hit 3 hrs in the series which is perfect. Also i cranked the pitch speed up to 100 because i just like it that way. Do you think pitch speed really affects anything? I can definitly hit better with pitch speed maxed out. At 65 everything just seems to slow and I was striking out 15 times per game. With it at 100 i strike out like once a game. I have a bad feeling i will get too good with these sliders and eventually not lose. I will keep playing though to find out.

and btw, pitch speed at 100 is the closest to real life. In real life u have less than a second to swing and thats how it is in the game. if u have it at 65 its like playing little league baseball. The pitcher lobs the ball and you have like 2 seconds to swing.

okay i played like 8 games and i need to play with the sliders. My hitting is realistic but the cpu hits about 5 hrs a game. I lowered cpu power by 10 and so far its working great. The only thing is that each game both me and the cpu have about 15 hits, but the scores are realistic. I think this is as close as its gonna get.

one more thing i noticed is that the formulas they used for sliders are screwy. For example, this guys sliders for human batting are power 50, contact 30. I was getting too many hits so i lowered the contact to 20, and this actually causes you to hit MORE dingers. The sliders dont always do what they should. You just have to get lucky and find a perfect mix. I am going to leave it at 50p/30c, because that is the most realistic. However cpu power at 60 is impossible. I through curves and junk in the dirt and the cpu took it yard which is complete bs.

I know most of you are gearing up for 2K8 so you may not be playing 2K8 anymore but I have read through this entire thread and the only thing that hasn't been explained is what the Control Settings, the Game Settings, Presentation, ect are set at for either PsychoBulk's sliders or nnng07's? So can anyone post them for me?

Anyone working on a slider set already for 2K8, or is anyone trying these or playing on the default difficulty's?

I've found that a great way to get proper pitch counts on all-star is to just drop the overall pitcher throw strike slider to zero...is anyone else seeing this, or are they getting good counts by default?
