Re: Creating **The 'PERFECT' Slider Set**

I have my sliders perfect. All I need to know is what sliders do I change when AI is pitching becuase they are always throwing strikes and not balls. Can anyone give me feed back. The game is great by the way

Also how come my sliders are changed when i play a different game. I play on customs sliders, when I play another game it gives me pro sliders. WTF. Why arn't they saving when I save the dynasty? Anyone

That's exactly what I'm doing and I think it totally works!

On another note, does anyone know/remember what slider helps out with preventing the computer from making like 10 amazing diving plays a game? I'm about to go into a game with AI infield reaction speed set to zero to see if that helps, but any advice would be grand.

Not sure. My franchise sliders seem to be saving. I do know that my slider tweaks I created in Exhibition didn't carry over to Franchise, but once I started my chise and recreated the sliders, they've been saving fine.

I think it may be the "fielding aggression" slider or something like that. I'm pretty sure I saw one called that in 08 and was the same in 07.

            Not 100% on that though.

Glad to see that people are looking at these sliders for use with 08

Haven't touched dynasty yet in 08, but I remember in 07, you had to turn off hot/cold teams in franchise to keep it from affecting your slider set.

As far as 08 is concerned, have you guys a realistic mix of ground balls, line drives and flyballs. For me, it seems as though there are too many fly balls.

Is there a particular slider that maybe helped with hit variety in 2K7 that would also work on 2K8??

From my post in another thread. I am not 100% convinced it is actually working but it sure feels that way.

"I can't find the thread, but someone mentioned that "rolling" the stick seemed to help with trying to aim the ball and gave more hit variety. I have tried this in several games now and it really feels like its working. Pull back for the step(I can't time this for crap so I have the step influence turned all of way down), then roll the stick to the side you are trying to hit the ball too. Pushing outside pitches works well. Pulling inside pitches works well. Pushing inside pitches gives weak hits, foul balls, and whiffs. Pulling outside pitches does the same."

I have the game, but haven't checked yet...is there a slider that affects how often human fielders commit errors? I had 7 errors in 5 innings in my first game, and then I just started another game and had 6 errors in 4 innings before getting frustrated and quitting both times.

There are error sliders, but are your errors throwing errors mostly? If so, what throwing system are you using?

I really like what I have other than cpu hitting. The 45/55 just isn't strong enough for me. I just started using 45/60 and played a fun game. Lincecum went 8 had 12k's and gave up 3 er. I played Arizona after completing their roster (3 hrs later). Pitch meter for me at 100, and I think 10 or 15 cpu hit mod. All of these may have finally achieved what I wanted for the cpu hitting. What cpu hitting sliders are you using?

When I started my franchise, I was getting just the right amount of CPU hitting, but now it seems like I am giving up too many homers, and rarely strike guys out. Not sure what's up. I am using 45/55 and usually paint the corners....

EDIT: I dropped AI SKill down a bit and everything seems good now.
