Hey X-Cell and Nnng, here's my latest box score with the sliders I posted. I do believe there isn't much difference between the 0/40/100 and 100/45/50 combos. You guys are absolute 2k7 gods.

Just finished a really great game. Here is the box score.

Baltimore Orioles (me) at Chicago Cubs (cpu)

    BAL - 1 0 0 1 0 3 0 0 0 - 5 runs 8 hits 1 error
    CHI - 1 0 0 1 0 0 4 1 0 - 7 runs 9 hits 0 error

    Pitching:

    BAL - A. Loewen: 6 1/3 ip, 66 pitches, 24 balls, 42 strikes, 7 hits, 5 runs, 2 bb, 4 k's.

    CHI - T. Lilly: 5 ip, 90 pitches, 29 balls, 61 strikes, 6 hits, 5 runs, 1 bb, 10 k's

    Hitting:

    BAL - 4 singles, 1 doubles, 1 triple, 2 homeruns
    CHI - 4 singles 3 doubles, 0 triples, 2 homeruns

      really impressive man...

I'm very happy with it all as well...

I'm proud of my tweaks as it plays a great baseball game... but I have to give up most of the recognition to nnng07... he built a wonderful foundation to work from.

Thanks for the props guys. Since ASB05 was released in April '04 until about a month ago, I was unable to find a better baseball title. As they killed off the ASB series, finally in 2007 on a next-gen console someone was able to put out a game that will allow me to put ASB to rest permanently.

Of course, this next-gen game isn't half of what ASB is 'out of the box'... But after the slider changes we have made (most of which we have agreed on a Fixed setting for) I believe that we have made MLB2K7 the single most enjoyable baseball game ever put out. Thanks to X-Cell, Psycho, highheat and all those others have been giving me constant feedback on how to perfect these sliders.

Re: Creating **The 'PERFECT' Slider Set**

Hi guys, I've been bouncing around different forums since the game has come out trying to find a good solid set of sliders. I mostly perused 2k Sports' message board before remembering the great MVP slider community on here from a couple years ago. I decided to log on and see what the good people over here have been coming up with. This thread caught my eye as I've been trying to find just that, the "perfect" slider set.

One of the major things I've been strugging with is finding a fine line between too many strike outs, slow grounders and tons of solo-homeruns on the pitching side and too many hits and homeruns on the hitting side. After using NNNG's sliders for a couple games (I know, small sample size) I still haven't found a solution.

Playing as the Red Sox versus Colorado and the Yankees, I've found myself getting 13+ hits a game with a decent amount of striking out. But on the pitching side, everything is a slow roller or a lob to second or short. If I touch the contact/power/skill settings, the slow rollers/lobs continue but they're sprinkled in with random solo homeruns or two-three run shots after some lobs fall in. I use Payoff pitching because I just can't, can't use Zone and I realize some of my problems stem from that. However, after continuing to have starters throw 5 straight games of 7 inning 8-10k 2hit ball, I've really become fustrated. Have you folks been able to get realistic hit totals/hit types/run totals at all?

The only thing I suggest is putting all hitting sliders for human at 0. I don't like using classic, as if feels so last gen, but everyone is different. If it was more like "The Show" and you had to use the left analog to direct your swing, it'd be acceptable.

Hey guys, quick question for you. Have any of you thought of setting take balls and strikes overall both at 100, then leaving the ahead/behind sliders where they are at?

I really enjoy these at 100 after testing them. The AI takes more, but it doesn't hurt their hit totals. They still swing on 0-1, 1-1 etc...counts as well.

In regards to those who have seen too many HR's from your team. Lower your Power Influence slider to 0 and work with a combination of your contact and power sliders that fit you best. Once I lowered this slider to 0, I've seen a more realistic style of play.

My combination is Contact- 40, Power- 20, Power Influence- 0.

All these sliders are getting crazy. Ok so I go through this thread and use x cells slider set and I play Houston (me) vs. Atlanta. Hudson throws 12 k's and Oswalt throws 16! This slider set gives me more K's than ever. This is crazy is there ever going 2 be a set that can balance everything out equally? Then I strike out 16 and dont get the 15 k acheivment!!

Then I strike out 16 and dont get the 15 k acheivment!!
Ummm can you try out the slider set that this thread is based on before badmouthing people's efforts?

Each set is for individual difficulty. X-Cell's is fine-tuned to work perfectly for him. Obviously it won't be the same for everyone. Apparently his set doesn't work for you.

Well try something else. Try one of the two sets I've posted in this thread. See if that works. Try other people's sets. Or start with one of these sets and tweak it to your liking.

But just because you happened to strike 16 Braves batters out (that got perfect gamed by a 40-year old a couple years ago, mind you), and you did it with the most consistantly dominant NL pitcher of the last five years, it doesn't mean that someone's slider set is 'getting crazy'.
