100? damn are you serious... I hardly play 100 games of any sports video game... it def would only take around 30 games to get that good.

100 games or if you consider yourself "advanced".
Or if you're X-Cell's little brother.

Basically, the sliders won't be getting any tougher. This is as tough as I can make them with the Payoff/Swingstick duo, which I am not willing to switch from.

Thus, this is the maximum difficulty I can attain while maintaining the set's integrity.

Re: Creating **The 'PERFECT' Slider Set**

I started a franchise last night using the set you just recently posted, I like the way they play very much so far.

The only problem I seem to have is not neccesarrily pitching being too easy because I do give up hits and runs, but rather my starting pitchers pitch count.

Maybe I throw too many strikes, but it seems so far I am getting through innings with less than 10 pitches every time.

Any suggestions on which sliders to tweak to maybe bump up my pitch count?

I was think CPU take strike +5 or so across the board since it seems almost every at bat the CPU is up there hacking at everything....

Nnng, Love the sliders man. As Ive stated before I just dont like the hit stick so I do play with classic interface using Heelfan's player contact, power and such but the rest of he sliders are yours. The only small issue I have is with the player pitcher fatigue which IMO seems too low. I seem to have problems getting into and through the 5th with my starters with it set at 40. I dont hold the button down for every pitch as well as pitches that I throw out of the zone i just realtively tap it. Just curious as to what type of success you are having with your teams starters going through games.

Re: Creating **The 'PERFECT' Slider Set**

JaSnake, the reason I turned it to 40 is because I felt 35 was a little too lenient. Unfortunately, I feel like 40 might be a tad too high, as I do struggle to get into the 7th even with Carpenter. I've played three exhibition games with it at 35, and two more with it at 40 just to remember what it's like. Here are the results:

            Fatigue @ 35 -
            Matt Morris ..... 7.1 IP, 6 H, 2 BB, 4 K, 4 ER, 73 pitches (52 strikes)
            Gil Meche ..... 5.2 IP, 9 H, 1 BB, 3 K, 7 ER, 66 pitches (48 strikes)
            Carlos Zambrano .... 8 IP, 6 H, 3 BB, 9 K, 93 pitches (64 strikes) [took him out at 2% energy]

            Fatigue @ 40 -
            Tom Glavine .... 6.1 IP, 5 H, 1 BB, 1 K, 63 pitches (52 strikes) [took him out @ 12% energy]
            Livan Hernandez 5.2 IP, 8 H, 0 BB, 3 K, 58 pitches (48 strikes) [took him out b/c of no effectiveness @ 20% energy]

It really does look like @ 40 this setting might be too intruding on SP's. I will move it back down to 35, and hope that serves this set better.

great sliders man. scores vary and i actually get a few walks per game. really good. this game is enjoyable for me again.

couple of things though. firstly, do you see any errors from the cpu's infielders? in the 30 or so games ive played ive seen maybe only 5 or 6. do you see enough?

also, i think im maybe getting too good for the slider set i'm using. would you recommend your final set for me or is that a step too far for a fairly new player ( played about 35 games overall?)

              keep it up fella.

according to me, 35 is def enuff for the final set. According to nnng07, you have to play like 1,000 or so

I absolutely love these sliders and it is the closest this game can be to realism. I only have one problem with the set and I am asking for sugestions. As a house rule I never use the power swing unless I guess the pitch location, I also have power swing at 0 but I still routinely hit 3-4 HRs a game with Oakland which is not a club with a lot of power. Without using the power swing at all I am not getting enough home runs, how can I find a happy medium?

for me I hate having the power set to zero! Lame hits and rare hr's w/out the Lstick or power swing. I set my power to 30+ and (classic) rarely if ever use the L stick anymore and I am getting great hr totals. I use the L stick one at bat a game for guys like Giambi/Arod/Matsui/Cano/Abreu etc.. On top of that I see great shots to the wall(but not out) and just a mirad of hits.. maybe try upping the power like I have and see how that works?

                      Try These Out..

Alright.. I've messed around with the sliders a bit. I turned power down to 5 so we can keep using power swing and hit a realistic ammount of homers. Keep in mind that these are meant to be pretty challenging.

This may be like a stupid question but what platform are these settings for? 360 and the newer gen or can these be used on the PS2? Any help would be appriciated. Thank You.

                          Throw Strike Behind: 35
                          Pitcher Fatigue: 45

                          Meat Pitch: 0
Great work...I am having one problem...seems like the AI is scoring 90% of their runs off of HRs...should I lower the AI power to 55 (kind of scared that they won't hit any if I do this) or move AI SKill to 95 or 90? What would be your recommendation?

Are you throwing every pitch full strength? If you are, don't hold the button for full power all the time. Take some heat off some pitches.
