I think you are right on this one as the team I played was on a big losing streak and I continued it for them. I might keep it on for a few more games to see how it plays out, but either way I liked the feeling I got with the home run issue. I was already in my home run trot on 3 balls I hit and they didn't even make the warning track.

I use hot/cold teams on, I think it goes hand in hand with DD.

I will have to disagree. I think hot and cold on makes it too easy or hard.

I played seattle when they were on a hot streak and everything they hit was a 450ft hr. Just impossible to pitch to a hot team. With this option off I have been having excellent games just like the OP.

Perhaps this is the next thing to test out. I will try and get a few games with both on in the next few days.

I confess that I completely ignored DD. Reading these responses, I can't wai to get home and try out DD. I've been thinking about revisiting my sliders. I just recently raised the AI sliders because it was getting to easy. With DD, I believe I won't have to do that.

To understand completely, the AI raises or lowers the AI sliders to compensate for how well you are doing and your tendencies through VIP?

we'll disagree then... I can dominate with Carpenter every game with this setting off, now when a hot team comes in, I struggle at points in the game.. plus I agree that teams, just like players, go on hot/cold streaks.

plus I'm goofy about settings.. I believe 2k put settings like these in there for a reason, just like inside edge..

I guess it's through VIP, but yes you are right.

The AI will adjust your sliders to your playing level. You can not see the changes in the sliders menu, however.

                            Re: Dynamic Difficulty Experiment

Just had a two-game series at STL, and both were very exciting games.

First game: A 16 Inning marathon. I was up 4-1 going to the 8th but as always my bullpen blew it, although a costly error on a double play to end the game gave them the tying run. Ended up winning it with a 3-run shot by K.Greene in the 16th, his debut for my Pirates. W 7-4

Second game: 10 inning thriller dominated by Pujols. He went 4-4 with 2 HR including the 2 run GW in the 10th. L 4-2

Really enjoying this, Here are my scores so far:
                            L 4-0
                            L 6-3
                            L 6-2
                            W 8-5
                            W 7-5
L 2-1 rain caused game to be complete in the 6th
                            W 6-1
                            L 3-1
                            W 9-6
                            L 5-4
                            L 6-2
                            L 12-4
and then the two STL games...
