I'm going to commit murder and try this in Game 3 of my ALCS series against the Red Sox.

I haven't noticed the pitcher fatigue, Carpenter has gone 7+ in his last 3 starts.
Is everyone inputting their custom sliders and then clicking dynamic difficulty on?
I started with Heelfan's sliders and then turned the DD on. I am having a tough time hitting HR's, but it's no big deal to me.Comment

if you turn DD on the sliders will adjust to your play style so the results become realistic....Comment

Not so much realistic as unpredictable - from game to game you'll have no idea if you'll be able to hit, if the CPU will be able to hit, if you're gonna have 3 errors, if the CPU is gonna strike out 15 times or not at all, so on.
With only about a month left to play this thing anyway (football), I've given up on a lot things, including realistic pitch counts, realistic walks, throw speeds, OF speed, pitch speed, etc. I'm just letting DD do its thing and seeing what happens in terms of a fun experience. And the point is, so far so good.
By the way, my update: Following the 12-4 debacle against the Phils, I shutout the Capitals 2-0. Even though the game played rather easy (18 K's for my staff), it's still pretty neat to think that I got shelled by a good team and then pretty much owned a bad one in consecutive games.
Was away for the weekend, so didn't play. But I'll probably play a good 10 or 15 more games by the end of the week. I'll have a pretty good idea by then if this is as bitchin as I think it might be.Last edited by Village Idiot; 06-19-2007, 02:12 AM.I am become death

That's what I did, but I don't know that it matters. My first couple games had really wild changes, like pitch speed down to 70, and OF speed WAY up. My guys were FLYING around the field. By game 3, that was gone. Pitch speed was, as far as I can tell, at 100, and my OFers are back to about where I had them (somewhere around default). So, that's why I say I don't think it really matters at all.I am become death
