I think not. The game has not been out even a week yet! No patch yet! The great thing about these sliders is not that BFJ is some kind of slider god, it's a community effort that he is spearheading, and all of us are contributing our 2 cents to make it better. I expect, make that hope, that this isn't completed for quite some time.

We're getting some really good stuff here, and this is what makes OS such a great site.

Thanks for saying this Brophog. This is all about US. All I've done was try to create a starting point so we can enjoy this game, which BTW after all the hysteria is a pretty good game of baseball

Yeah, I made the same point earlier: this entire thread - i.e. everyone's contributions - is a really good read. What moron rated it so it's only 3 stars? Since I was the one who rated it 5 stars, that means some douche came in here and rated it 1 star.

Great work on these sliders guys. However, I can't seem to lower the AI infielder speed to 30 and the outfielder speed to 40 without it going to CUSTOM-P. Is anyone else having this problem? Or does the custom-P even mean anything? Let me know. Thanks.

Hey man, I have commented a couple of times in this thread but I really would like you to know how much I enjoy playing this game in large part due to your sliders. I have used the ones from the first page and I have gotten good results. So good, I may not even wait to start a franchise! An example was I played 5 games with the Tigers and defeated the Royals 5-3, 8-6. and 14-5. Then I beat the White Sox 7-5 and lost 7-3. Stats look on key as well and I am averaging 4-7 K's per game and anywhere from 2-5 walks. Thanks again!

I'm one that believes that it doesn't matter. If the setting is 50, it's 50.

Just played a great game with a few of my own adjustments. I beat the Mariners 4-0 using the Sox. Beckett threw a complete game shutout giving up only 2 hits. I drew 12 walks, and had the computer throw 164 pitches! Granted 3 of those walks were intentional but it was very rewarding wearing down their bullpen. I only hit one home run using my adjustments. Got a high and in 88 mph fastball to David Ortiz and just completely demolished it.

On a side note, I still feel that the only way to make the AI Batting harder is to turn up skill which makes the game a slugfest and a lot of solo home runs which I can't stand. I'm going to try and turn up the Total Control pitching slider up so I can't just locate my pitches.

Red Sox - 4 7 0
Mariners- 0 2 0

Btw, if anybody finds hitting to easy, try putting Human Skill to 55, contact to 0, and power to 10. I've been getting great results and I think I'm a pretty decent hitter.

I'm definitely with you there bro.The only reason they have custom P,A,and L is for the cards.The way it works is they take the overall difficulty of the sliders and give it a letter grade based on that.a 50 is a 50 no matter what.The letter attached to custom is based on OVERALL DIFFIUCLTY thats it.

Do you guys think that the AI Run Aggression Slider has anything to do with the lack of stolen bases? For instance, that slider right now is set at 100. This means that the CPU will be as aggressive as they possibly can be with regard to trying for extra bases. So is possible that they don't feel the need to steal 2nd because they "know" they are going to try to go from 1st to 3rd on a single anyway if the situation presents itself?

Has anyone tried to set this at 0 with the stealing sliders at 100?

Any thoughts? Just thought I'd at least throw the idea out there.

Ok so today I was messing around with some of the sliders and it changed to custom A. Now when I go back to regular all-star my foul bal frequency is 100 so do sliders not go back to what they originally were out of the box? What should I do?

I'm one of those people that recently converted from the SHOW to 2K8 with just using these sliders.. This game is soo addicting!!!! I must have played 5 games in a row today... Feels like the game is coming together.. CPU seems to be throwing more balls out of the zone now.. Still waiting on my first walk.

CPU has not tried a stolen base on me. Only if it's a 3-2 count the runner will take off. Seems like a programming glitch to me..

Once again, good theory, but it's starting to look much more likely that stealing is flawed in some way that can't be fixed with sliders. Between all of us in here, we've tried just about every tweak and combination of tweaks we could think of with no success.

And more to the point, I use aggression of 85-90 now, but played several games with it closer to default before raising it. Didn't see any difference in regards to stealing with any slider settings. Said it before and I'll say it again, the ONLY time I've seen the CPU put the runners in motion is with two outs and a full count...

OK Everyone. I have made some changes to the sliders. 1st big change is from what setting should you begin. After much debate & testing. I believe these sliders should be from the LEGEND SETTING. Once you begin to set the sliders the setting will change to CUSTOM-A. No matter what you choose to change on your own They will never go down to CUSTOM-P, so for me these are for sure CUSTOM ALL-STAR SLIDERS..

The other major changes have come to the Batting sliders for both the Use & AI. If for some reason you feel you are getting to much offense don't mess with the Batting Sliders, I suggest you up the Pitcher Difficulty Slider.

Lastly the ever popular IF/OF Speed/Reaction Sliders. For Human IF/OF the settings seem good. For the AI they are different. These settings may seem weird, but I tested them in 4 games & the are the best I've tried. Credit goes to pokerlife for those settings.
