I'm playing a 7-game series, Yanks vs. Boston. Game 1 was great, I lost 9-6 and didn't hit a single HR (they hit three though). Wang got roughed up for 4 first inning runs (I was aiming his sinker too high) but then really settled down.

I got it to 6-5 in the 7th and brought in Farnsworth for one inning and that was a mistake, I was down 9-5 before I could blink.

The game was awesome, these sliders work perfectly for the swing stick (which I've decided to stick w. after a brief go around w. classic) and I could really tell when I was connecting with a pitch. It was very rewarding and certainly fun as hell!

The only thing I might tweak is the CPU power, they were hitting balls a little too far on low-and-away pitches that they swung it w. just their upper body. JD Drew even hit one over the monster w. just his arms. Not saying it's impossible, but I have feeling it'll be happening too much if I don't tweak their power a little.

Great first set though, I'm almost ready to start my 'chise!
ehh, I made some changes because of this thread:

I Updated that Sliders with clear instructions on the 1st post.

The magic # 100 (FAR RIGHT) or The magic # 0 (FAR LEFT) The magic # 50 (MIDDLE) I then wrk from there.

It's become clear to me now that it all depends on the order of everything. If you reset your sliders to allstar and go one at a time off of your slider list from top to bottom things won't work quite right. For instance if you did that, you would notice that those AI fielder sliders would in fact reset the tab back to custom-p. It's almost like we need to figure out how to get your sliders from scratch. You've probably just been evolving them and wouldn't see the problems that someone starting from scratch would see.

When I updated the sliders I did everything over by resetting the Sliders (RB button) so right now everything should be exactly correct except for those who want to tweak sliders to their likng

For me, I can get the AI general options and still be custom-a except for the bottom 2. As soon as I switch infield and outfield reaction speed for AI, it resets to custom-p. I've tried this several times to confirm it.

Are you setting the sliders from All-Star or Custom?

My season started in pro, so if I reset using the RB I get pro sliders. I then go from pro to all star and start there. I've got a pattern down to get very close to your sliders, but it's impossible to go top down for me. I have to set the sliders that make the harder first and then slide the ones that make it easier after that. I AM SO CLOSE RIGHT NOW!!!

One other thing guys. I think the reason that the POWER Slider & IF/OF Sliders may have a limit is because this game no longer has a POWER Swing Slider or the Fielder Speed Burst Slider, hence why when we adjudt them too much they reset back to the Lower Setting.

I'm having the same problem as eric

I found the threshold for these at 61
I put both IF & OF reaction speed at 60 and I was still at custom-p

Once I put OF speed at 61 it switched to custom-a

One thing I just noticed with the AI fielding sliders is that the infield/outfield speed and infield/outfield reaction speed are tied somehow. If I set one maxed I can lower the others without having it reset to custom-p.

Do you think it's best to leave those sliders @ DEFAULT, since those sliders seems to be so sensitive

Well, I did get them down a bit, but need to try a game with em. I've felt the AI fielding is a little to good at times so that's something I want to tweak. I'll get back to you on my opinion of them. I definitely think that either reaction time or just ability needs to be toned down. Now I just need to see which is more important.

If the reaction speeds need to be around 60 and the speeds are 30 &40

How about getting the reaction speeds to 37 & 47 and lowering the reactions to 53?

This is starting to back up our belief in the past that 2K's difficulty was nothing more than a ratings adjustment and that difficulty levels didn't really mean anything.

I dont know if we're getting to where we want to go yet, but we sure are doing a good job tearing down this engine to see how it ticks. Great thread. I'm gonna get back to work this afternoon testing this out some more.
