I have power at 18 for both AI and human.. but I have contact set at 72 for human. I haven't been able to get many HR's period haha.. its been 3 total at the most so far combined for a game. I like it though, it is nice to hit HR's with other hitters besides just Hafner and Martinez...

Let's not forget you're playing in Chicago, which is a hitter's park, so you're going to have games with a bunch of HR's at times maybe.. I've been in Cleveland, which isn't horrible, and then I played in Oakland, which is a bad hitter's park I think

I also found that being patient at the plate helps. I found that I have quite a bit of luck with the hanging curve balls, which is pretty true to form. I just hit back to back HRs with Soriano and Lee against Randy Wolf, who had a 1.07 ERA up to that point.
The more I play this game, the more I'm diggin' it.

Yep, I am having fun. I actually came back to take a lead in the game, 5-4 in the bottom of the seventh. Then......freeze. Third freeze in two days. It's time to start saving in the sixth inning so I don't lose these games. Sad part is, I earned my Felix Pie card and Derrick Lee card in the game that froze.
I'm loving your sliders though. Thanks for all your work on these.

Yep, I am having fun. I actually came back to take a lead in the game, 5-4 in the bottom of the seventh. Then......freeze. Third freeze in two days. I started off 4-4 with the Cubs and then lost 15 in a row and was 11.5 games out. Suddenly I started to get how to pitch and found some sliders that helped with all the homers and I'm up to 13-23 and six games out. Most of my games are back and forth affairs with the occasional blow out, usually by the CPU.

Pirates led 3-0 and then 4-1 and I blew chances late to tie the game. Marquis started for the Cubs and gave up 2 runs in the 1st.

The sliders are playing well unlike the Cubs who lost 2 of 3 to the Pirates. We're 5-4 on the year. Next up is a big series with the Phillies.

Ya.. i'm getting killed by the Angels right now, its 6-0 in the 4th.. already pulled Westbrook, he gave up 5!! they have 11 hits.. only 1 HR though so far by Vlad, of course. I have 6 hits myself, but just can't bring any runs in... not having fun this game, but I suppose this is how it can be in real life too.

do you simulate games? I have it down where I play 17 per month, so a total of 102 played, 60 simmed... and I rotate the pitchers I play with, so its an even amount I play with each SP. I'm bout to sim my next 4 games after this one, hope I can get some wins!!

Seems like the sliders almost need to be edited for better offense against weaker teams??? It's pretty much close games every game so far for me, back and forth. The game I'm playing now is the first I've actually been blownout, unless I make a miracle comeback, cuz its 6-0 in the 4th, and they are bout to score more I think. I dunno what to do about it though.. I know my offense sucks as far as scoring.. the AI offense is perfect to me anyway. Need to tweak human offense somehow though.. I'm averaging in between 2-3 runs per game ONLY, which is not close to what the Indians are truly capable of. Any Ideas????

Why does it seem like the cpu shuts me down when I get in scoring position?? I only left 6 on base though with my 10 hits.. It could be just me, but my offense is weak! anyone else experiencing this with these sliders? And if not, what did you do to help, or what did you change to help?

I brought power for both human and AI to 25.. playing first game like that right now, see what happens... Hafner and Martinez have ZERO HR's coming into this game against Boston. Wakefield is pitching, hope I can catch a couple of those knucklers. I tihnk by pitching what the catcher suggests cuts down on the AI Hr's as well... sometimes it may cost you one too though, but thats the price I pay when I chose to pitch this way

Westbrook- 8.0IP 7 H 2 ER 1 BB 4 K

First game with power at 25 for human and AI, and I like the results so far..

Cle HR's: Hafner(2-4) 1HR, Martinez(1-3) 1HR... Both was their firsts of the season, and it was back-to-back HR's in the 1st inning.

Bos HR's: Lowell(1-4) 1HR

Definately going to continue with those power sliders. I may have a game seldomly that has 4-5 HR's total, but thats fine, not like it doesn't ever happen in real life baseball anyway.

It was nice to see how Westbrook pitched a great game like that, liking how the game just all of a sudden decided that one game he wasn't going to be able to get anyone out, and the next game he pitches, its like this. By far, the best baseball game I've ever played so far...

At this point, I'm starting to see a trend with the USER home runs. Through 10 games in my Cub franchise, I have hit 10 HRs. Lee has 5, Soriano has 4, and Ramirez has 1.

I have the power setting for Human at 45! Obviously, I can't move this slider any higher because Lee, Soriano, and Ramirez would end up with 75 hrs apiece.

I am getting a great variety of hits too. I just can't get anything out with anyone else.

I'm raising mine up to 40 now.. funny how the USER can't seem to get the HR's with powewr slider up, only with the tope 3 hitters on the team i guess. What do you have the AI power set as?? I'm thinking of going with 20.. played 25 for a few games now, and it wasn't horrible... Ortiz hit 3 HRS in 2 games, Drew hit 1 against me, Lowell hit one too... now playing Detroit, and Ordonez just hit one... so i'm up in the air with leaving it at 25.

I still have CPU power at 12. I'm seeing a fair amount of HRs from the CPU. I'm also getting great hit variety form the CPU so, at this point, the only challenge is the USER hrs.

I am strugglin a lil bit with gettin hits too ..i uppd the power for both ...and i am thinkin about lowerin the pitcher difficulty a lil bit maybe 5 or 10...Anyone else thinkin about that??
