No problem, Joe. FYI, I did set my Step Influence slider to 10, but I was still having problems hitting. I would be striking out at least 8 times a game no matter what pitcher it was, and when I did make contact, they were for sissy grounders or popups. Even when I would work the count to 2-2 or full, I wouldn't be able to make decent contact on the ball. That's when I decided to lower the step influence down to five, and I've gotten better results. I'm not getting crazy hits every at-bat, and I'm still striking out occasionally. My question was whether or not I should think about tweaking any other sliders being that I have the step influence at 5. Thanks again.

If you already have the Pitcher Difficulty set to 50, then the other suggestion is to lower the Pitch Speed from 50 to 45. This should help with your timing.

If your enjoying the challenge, then I would say leave the sliders as is. If the challenge becomes to a point were it's taking away from your enjoyment of the game, then either:

I'll continue to test out what I'm doing right now. Again, I was encouraged by the variety I got in the two games I played. The one vs. ATL was a hitfest with 9 runs on 12 hits, and the one against the Angels was 4 runs on 6 hits. So, I'll continue to test tonight to see what happens.

i was completetly shutting down the cpu offense with skill at 10 and tcp at 60. joel pineiro just threw a 1 hit CG SO against the brewers. i upped skill to 15 and tcp to 65 and it seems that some of those routine grounders and pop ups are becoming base hits.

I agree with the above.... I played a series against the braves with these new sliders, and I was dominating the CPU offense as well. Although they weren't striking out a TON, they still were taking a grip of strikes for the K. When they did hit the ball, they were getting little cheap balls for hits. Little squeakers that get passed the infield. I definitely didn't see the variety in hits that I saw prior to changing the sliders. So, what I decided to do was to up the AI skill to 20. That didn't seem to help either. Instead of me dominating, the CPU would just hit everything out of the freakin' ball park. I played a series against Cincy, and gave up 6 HRs in two games. And only one HR was off of a meatball that i threw. I try to stick to the corners as much as possible, and they were still hitting bombs off of me. So, I think I might go back to the tweaked sliders that BFJ provided me with last week. Those seemed to be giving me some really good games with mixed results.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. May I suggest that everyone give this set more than 1 game. The outcomes will vary every game. If people feel the need to up AI Sliders I would suggest not upping the AI Skill slider past 25 & the TCP Slider past 75

joe...i am curious about your results with the skill at 10 and tcp at 60. i really did play about 3 or 4 games with those setting and the computer didnt generate ANY offense. what kind of games are you getting with those? other than the cpu hitting, GREAT SLIDERS!

Joe, I've gotta give you credit. I've tried probably 75% of the sliders on here just for good measure, and I've come back to yours each time. It's difficult, but not too difficult, and there is some variation in the results, which I enjoy. Great set
