Just a question, these are "All Star" sliders, and we are supposed to see Custom-A for the sliders, but you say to reset "Legend" settings and start from there. Do we start at All Star or Legend settings, because starting from Legend, you'd get Custom-L.

Once you re-set the sliders (RB Button) you should then begin setting the sliders from the Legend Setting. When your all done, every section should say "CUSTOM A" @ the top

People feel it doesn't matter where you start because once you move 1 slider they become "CUSTOM" I personally think other wise

So are you feeling this game now or is it still blehhh?
I still haven't re-purchased it. Was waiting for it to drop in price a little or for the patch to be the magic bullet, neither which happened from what I hear.

I've started a new franchise (Braves) and I'm going to use these sliders and start posting my results/comments. I've went through about a dozen different slider sets and I've done a few of my own but these seem to be the most popular and pretty solid.

First Game

Braves vs. Pirates

Smotlz vs Gorzellany

Both pitchers throw 7 innings. 2-0 going into the 8th. I tag up their relievers and it ends up being 6-0 win.

Braves - 6 runs, 7 hits, 6 walks, 1 error
Pirates - 0 runs, 5 hits, 0 walks, 0 error

No homeruns were hit, although I robbed 1 with Jeff Francouer.

After one game I'm thinking that AI Skill maybe too low, AI contact is too high (Smotlz threw 7 innings and 1 strikeout) that total control pitching is set a bit low (I nailed corners all day long, just couldnt strike anyone out). Some of this may just be due to the pirates suckage and Smotlz's pwnage.

What I found that was spot on was the infielder and outfielder reaction speed and movement speed. Very very realistic. Best I've used so far and I doubt I'll ever change these settings. This coupled with the 60 run speed makes it possible to get some infield hits and grounders through the hole.

But that was just one game, I'll come back after I play another few.

Second Game

Hudson vs. Snell

Total Slugfest. Hudson got out of a few jams early but by the 6th I had to pull him he gave up only 3 runs, but 10 hits.

Once I got into my bullpen it got ugly.

Game ended up:

Pirates 16 runs 23 hits - 4 Homers including a grand slam by Nady.
Braves 9 runs 15 hits - 3 Homers.

I should note that I upped the Total Control Pitching to 80 since I was nailing spots in the last game. I nailed spots no problem with Huddy but when I got into my relievers it was a different story. I walked a batter or two but also got nailed by some mistakes.

Does total control pitching slider at all effect how well the CPU hits? They were hitting good pitches of Huddy's for base knocks often so I'm thinking that they just came out to hit this game since they got shutout the previous game.

Glavine vs. Morris

Nail biter all the way to the end.

Glavine got roughed up early, gave up two homers, hanging curve ball and a meatball on a circle change miscue.

Braves bounced back with homers from Jones and Escobar.

3-3 going into the 8th. LaRoche doubled in a run to make it 4-3.

Soriano pitched out of a jam in the 9th, striking two key batters.

It all went down to 2 outs with Brayan Pena pinch hitting for Soriano. He doubles to left center. Prado comes on to pinch run. Johnson lines one to center, but Prado gets thrown out at the plate (and WTF, with 2 outs he broke back towards second before running for 3rd, what is up with this happening with two outs? Poor Programming? Or is it the Assisted Baserunning?)

Pirates 4 runs, 11 hits, 1 walk
Braves 3 runs, 11 hits, 1 walk

Great game. Great Sliders. I'm keeping the Total Control Pitching at 80. I think that particular slider should be based on user abililty.

Aye the higher the total pitching control the more likely if you miss on a pitch they'll eat it (homeruns) I find 65 is a good setting for that slider cause CPU still scores and i get strike outs with all my pitching staff. Anything higher then you'll see too much offense out of the better offensive teams like the yanks detroit and boston ect. I might knock AI infield speed down 1 so i might be able to see one or two more hits threw the infield without having them dive like they are all roberto alomar. I also find if you knock the human batting skill up one then it's a hit fest. and even if you put contact up one you'll see too many hits too. Joe has the sliders about as good as they're gonna get no doubt. But i wonder how it would turn out if contact wasn't as high for the human side and batting skill raised. would that be too much a hit fest as well? Or would it be too easy to strike out?

Ahh. See, I didnt realize that having TCP up higher would effect how well the CPU hits the ball. That explains why I've been absolutely getting knocked around by the Mets. I should probably lower it back down.

I've played 10+ games with these sliders. I'm a relatively aggressive hitter, and I rarely walk, but I've noticed that the AI does not ever throw 4 straight balls. I swing when I see a good pitch, should I be concentrating more on drawing walks?

Yes i found with these sliders that you got to be patient. Draw those walks they open up holes to help get hits threw. And wait for your pitch. I get around 7 to 10 hits a game and anywhere from 3 to 6 runs per game with these sliders so far. I am going by the sliders posted on the first page.

I like what you did with the AI Pitching Sliders, but I find it now that I am walking too much and that now I can load the
bases almost 2 or 3 times a game no matter who is pitching.
Could you give a suggestion on which sliders to adjust and how much, to make the pitcher throw a little more strikes, but don't want to see a drastic change just a little to cut down on some balls, I kind of like where they are but need just a small
tweek.

Here is the end results, I would have less strikeouts and more walks but, I just started to swing at pitches to get the game moving, again I like where
the sliders are at just want to get some feed back from Joe on what I should tweek and how much to tweek them. i don't want to start messing
with the sliders and then screwem up.

There is not alot HRS with this new set.
I played 3 games with them and hit 2 hrs, both with Adam Dunn.
Through 6 games with them I have hit 4 hrs.
2 with Dunn one with Griff and 1 with Encarnarcion.
