jersey... i'd suggest trying at least 5-8 games with these sliders before making any judgments on them. one game is only a small sample. you know that in real baseball games can vary widely.

the pitcher getting yanked early is simply a flaw in the game intelligence. there's no slider to fix that - hopefully 2k will patch that because many are annoyed by this...

First of all i'd like to thank Blazzen and itbeme on there outstanding efforts on creating and sharing of this years slides. Great Job guys!

So currently i'm using the New york mets as my franchise team this year. As of now im in the battle with philly and florida for the 1,2,3 slot. i usually score about 2-5 runs per game (if i win) and its usually a close game.

The previous sliders i've been using have been using for myself have been doing a fair job but i found myself winning 5-6 games in a row so im looking for some sliders that will give me a challenging ballgame. I plugged in your sliders and decided to try them out against philly. i ran into a few concerns maybe you can give me advice on what to lower/higher?

The first inning i led off with a double and i noticed how much more realistic the speed of the outfielders were! (great job) i proceeded to earn 2 runs in that inning. Time to switch up. philly comes up and i get a 1,2,3..good stuff. i come up for the top of the second and i score 1 run in that inning. The score is 3-0. philly comes up for the bottom of the second and they dish out some singles and a double but only get 1 run.The score is 3-1. next inning i go down for 0 runs and 2 singles. the phillys come up to bat in the bottom of the third. i give up 1 single, get one out, they steal to second, and now it's the pitchers turn to bat. The computer decides to pinch hit for the pitcher and it is only the 3rd inning.. i found that really strange. They score 1 run that inning. Skip to the 6th inning and i just go insane with the bat. by the end of the inning i score 6 runs making the score 8-2. skip to the 8th Ike davis comes to bat and hits a two run shot out of the park for 402 ft Lol. i end up winning the game 11-2.

i just have a few concerns.
- the computer pinch hitting for the pitcher in the 3rd
- the amount of strikes the pitcher throws
- the amount of hits (17)
- the power of hitters

Any advice that you can think of that may help me out would be greatly appreciated. As for these sliders i am enjoying how the computer is getting more hits.

I would try playing several games before passing judgement.

Yesterday I hit a grand slam in the first inning with Brian McCann and then a 3 run homer with Jason Heyward all in the same inning against the White Sox.

Then I had Verlander 1 hit me the next game against the Tigers.

#1 We have little control over what the logic 2k decides to put in for managerial decisions. No sliders will help this.
#2 Do you mean they throw too many or too little strikes? I think the MLB average is around 62% strikes but this will depend on how many pitches you take and bad balls you swing at.
#3 How was the pitcher you were facing rated? If you were facing the Phillies I bet you didn't put up 17 hits on Halladay. I would also file this one under playing a few more games before jumping to conclusions.
#4 The power of cpu or user hitters? CPU I've tweaked so they will get more extra base hits. 40/40 for user seems to be a sweet spot for me, I haven't changed this in a while.

Typically I play 5 games before making any changes. This would be a minimum for testing settings.

I've had some really good games with these settings lately.

In a 5 game period I went 3-2. I won two close games, 3-2 and 4-3, coming back in both of them, and lost one close game 3-4, with my bullpen giving it up. I blew one team out 12-2 (hit a grand slam and a 3 run homer in the first inning) and also got beat pretty good myself 7-3.

I think I'm getting close to my opening day sliders which is good because opening day is getting closer and closer!

gonna try these out tonight I use the Red Sox and am wondering what level you have your sliders on read through 1st couple of pages then skipped through to page 11 not mentioned or so I didn't see them mentioned. I am 9 games into my season playing on pro have the user power at 40 and JD Drew hit 4 HR in my last game so I am not to pleased with these. I will say that when you face a good pitcher you need to wait for your pitch and jump on it if not you will K out alot.

The level is custom, once you change any setting from All star of Pro the level becomes custom.

If the game would stop FREEZING I could get some games in.

Last night through 8 innings the line was

Braves 0 2 0 - a single a double and 2 walks
Marlins 1 5 0 - couple singles couple doubles and a walk

Annibal Sanchez was 2 hitting me and the game froze. He threw some balls over the middle of the plate but even when I nailed 'em with a power swing it was a shot right at somebody. Just one of those bad luck days where nothing falls. Even worse luck when the GD game froze!

Are you using custom music? Just wondering because my game froze all the time until I quit using custom music.

So do you have a final set of sliders or has everybody started at page 1 and tweaked to their preference?

Page 1 sliders are what I'm currently using, Corn. Tweak those to your liking.

Made a small slider adjustment. Lowered CPU pitch composure 10 because I was having a few too many "big" innings.

I feel confident going into opening day with these. Not saying I'm not going to make anymore tweaks though, just saying these play well for me.

PS. Dumping the cache did help with the freezing issue. I've only seen it once since.
