Re: OS & BFJ Breakdown of the 2K10 Slider Theory...
I have a question. After playing 7 games the computer stopped scoring on me. The first 2 games the computer (Rays) beat me (O's) pretty good. After the 2 games they stopped scoring on me. Do I need to play mroe games or tune up sliders?Comment

I found that as you learned the game and how to pitch, the cpu really started to struggle. You may need to play more games but if you are improving on the mound you will most likely have to increase the cpu contact and power sliders to make them more dangerous.Comment

Re: OS & BFJ Breakdown of the 2K10 Slider Theory...
I think fatigue has been increased. I personally have dropped fatigue 10 points (2 clicks) from what I had. I've also dropped baserunning speed 5 points due to the arms being toned down. I also think you should drop cpu contact one click as well as the patch has made it harder to hit your spots. That's my observations from 2.5 games played post patch.Comment

Not sure yet. I may bump User Power. rudy mentioned Base Runner Speed & Pitcher Fatigue. I will check these also. Right now my video gaming time is spent between my Madden League & RDR.Comment

Re: OS & BFJ Breakdown of the 2K10 Slider Theory...
Whatever you are using I think you will definitely have to drop cpu contact one click, maybe two. The lack of control while pitching can lead to some rough outings. I just gave up 12 runs and 24 hits to the cpu. I do think I have to adjust a bit more. The ball moves around on you more and you are really going to have to not give in. Giving in to the batter is disasterous now. I got so used to never walking anyone that I'm giving in to hitters and getting pounded.
In my last game I actually had to yank Dontrelle Willis in the 4th inning. Bonine and my bad relievers got roughed up badly as well. I was coming off a 1-0 loss to the Red Sox so there is still a lot of variety in scoring.Comment

I don't think it matters where you have the throw meter influence. I never saw any difference in how hard guys threw at 0 or 100. And with very few errors, I don't think it matters. Maybe if you put it higher, maybe you'll get a 2 or 3 errors every 50 games rather than the 1 per 50 I've been getting.Comment

Re: OS & BFJ Breakdown of the 2K10 Slider Theory...
So I've played one turn through the rotation with these. I even dropped contact a bit for the last two games and actually got hit harder. I'm at 45 contact and 100 power. My era through 5 games is 4.36. However, I'm giving up insane amounts of singles. I've given up 62 hits in 5 games (over 12 a game). Only 7 of those are doubles, 2 triples, and 4 hr's. So I've given up 13 extra base hits (less than three a game) and 49 singles. That explains why they aren't scoring a lot of runs despite all the hits. I'm getting too many singles and not enough extra base hits on offense as well (4 extra base hits and 39 singles).
I'm not really sure what to do about it. I can't keep dropping cpu contact, as they don't score many runs as it it. I'm thinking about increasing fielder speed and baserunning speed. I figure this will help my OF's get too a few more balls, but those that drop might go for extra bases more since the baserunners are faster.Last edited by DonkeyJote; 05-24-2010, 06:45 PM.Comment

Re: OS & BFJ Breakdown of the 2K10 Slider Theory...
I use these sliders with a little tweaks here and there.
I am seeing a very good hit variety and probably am averaging around 9-10 hits a game. I probably average around 3-4 extra base hits a game, and right around 5 runs a game. The trick that I found to work is to use the power swing with every hitter and dont use the left stick at all. Doing this forces hitting to be all about timing. I have hit at least one HR with everyone in the Reds lineup, and get very realistic statsComment

Re: OS & BFJ Breakdown of the 2K10 Slider Theory...
My PS3 broke on me and all I had was MLB 10 so I picked this up used for the 360. Until I tried these sliders I thought I wouldn't have a baseball game to play this year. THANKS.Comment
