This is a big issue for me; it's probably the biggest reason I can't hit for power. How in the world can you tell regular stuff from off-speed stuff in this game? I think The Show worked a little harder on making breaking balls look different coming out of the hand, but in this game, at least to me, most pitches look the same out of the pitcher's hand. Maybe it's just the camera angle I'm at.

I feel like I miss 3-4 big opportunities per game because I can't tell that the hanging curve is coming till it's already gone, and the same for a belt-high fastball.

I do agree with MK on this. I know I will either receive positive or negative feedback on this but to me, you almost have to treat an ab in this game like an ab in real life. I find the battle very enjoyable.

I was on vacation for a week in Hawaii, back now and I have enough games in to post 30 pitch control slider results. Runs per game were spot on which is ultimately the most important thing. I'm getting good competitive games, I went 4-2 over these 6 games, 3 games were decided by 1 run, 1 was decided in extras.

User hits are a little high, K's a little high, errors a little low. Not going to worry about the hits or K's at this point and there's not much else I can do to produce more user errors slider wise. I use the buttons to throw to bases, not the stick, I think I'll try to force myself to use the stick and that will create more throwing errors (which is what is lacking despite the slider being @ 100).

Cpu hits, K's and errors are a bit high. I'm going to lower the throwing error slider slightly, they just have too many of these. Home runs were a little low as were doubles but I think I will wait to raise the power slider as it would also push hits even higher.

Only change lowering cpu throwing errors by 10. These sliders are just about as good as they're going to get I think.

I am just not seeing enough cpu runs anymore.
I dont know if i have become better at pitching or what.
I have won 10 games in a row in my reds season and my team ERA is 2.5 during that stretch.

During the course of a franchise ur team will go on crazy stretches, for like the 1st 40 games my team average was like .340 with ERA 4.00...........my next 20 games my team average has been .280 with an ERA of 2.00..........I didnt change anything at all just alot of players hit some cold stretches and some hot stretches (not really based on the dumb hot/cold rating changes that the game has)

I'm striking out a ton! Just about 11-13 K's a game. What sliders can I adjust to cut down on K's but also keep my hits per game 2 at a normal avg?

Lower CPU Pitch Speed. 75 is too fast for me, so I dropped it down to 65 and that works for me.

Recently played interleague games against the Yanks and Red Sox and gave up 3 HR's in each game. I've also thrown CG SO's. Good variety, good number of wins and losses, all in all plays the best game of baseball for me that I think this game can play.

I hope these are a good base for all of you. Remember, these are MY sliders that work for ME. The hope is that you start from these and tweak them to your ability, play style and the team you play with.

You can use the blog function on 2k's website. I used it for a little while but it doesn't track all the stats I want and it's buggy.

Takes 30 seconds to write down the stats after a game and another minute to put them in an excel sheet.
