I'm thinking about going with user contact/power at 25/55 and for the cpu at 50/75. at cpu 50/80 it seems like you hit those innings where you are just powerless to stop them.

I also have my user pitch control at 30 now, and I'm not liking it as the cpu never seems like a threat now. but if I go back down to 25, then I get those bad innings. So I think I will go cpu 50/75 with pitch control at 25 and see what happens.

I want to thank you for your thoughts. I read all these threads as we're all doing a great job researching this. I laugh when I see all of us still trying to find that "perfect" set.
I'm walking 2.6 guys per game with it at 35. I may try 30 but that's as low as I'll go. I'm not that good at the gestures. Left handed sinkers really give me problems as do right handed cutters / left handed 2SFB. Braves don't have any lefty starters so I don't get much practice with lefties.

I think I'm going to try 30/55 user, 50/75 cpu and keep everything else the same.

Take-Two label confirms it will not come to market with a new pro hockey title on consoles, including the Wii, this year.

You are right about the NHL series but nowhere does it say anything about possibly dropping the mlb series. I checked a bunch of sites.

MLB license runs out AFTER next year. There is no way in hell they will renew it, but since they are already paying for next year, I expect there to be a game next year. Even though they lose money on it, I'm sure they will lose a lot more if they decide just eat the licensing fee.

just bc they dont renew the exclusive license, doesnt mean they wont be able to get a piece of it and make a game like in years past. it would be great if EA and 2K both had baseball games on the market.

I can't find the website I found it one my friends computer so it's not in my history, I'll keep looking. It said that 2k will not renew it's contract and also does not have much interest in making a game next year. They might also tag up with someone else to make a game next year.

I had a great game with these sliders.

                  8 10 2 me=phillies
                  5 12 0 cpu=rangers

everything played great, including a Ibanez grand slam. i gave up an HR too. And i gave up 3 walks, which was great. i couldn't just pinpoint my pitches like i was before.

Blazzen, this may have been asked before, but what roster do you use while playing your franchise games?

and if you play quick games, do you use the living rosters, or load the roster you use for your franchise?

                    just curious..

                      Re: Blazzen's MLB 2K11 Slider's

played two games with updated sliders...30/55 user batting, 50/75 cpu....lowered user pitch control to 30 and lowered user composure back to 0 to help compensate for the lower pitch control.

                      Astros (Myers) 2 runs, 8 hits, 7 singles, 1 double, 2BB, 10ko
                      Braves (Lowe) 3 runs, 5 hits, 3 singles, 1 double, 1 HR (hinske pinch hit) 2BB, 8ko

                      Nationals (Strausburg) 1 run, 9 hits, 1 double, 3BB, 7ko
                      Braves (Jurrjens) 2 runs, 7 hits, 2 doubles, 4BB, 13 KO

Got the hold/cold thing going. Braves have 3-4 cold hitters and 1-2 hot in both games. Astros had 2 cold 4 hot, Nats had 4-5 cold 1 hot. Just to complicate things further lol.

I'm not sure how much I like the 30 user pitch control. I feel all over the place with my relievers. It's not really making a difference in my walk totals either. CPU swings on most 3-0 and 3-1 counts regardless of the pitch, cpu logic makes it hard to walk them lol. Think I'm going to revert back to 35 pitch control and 5 composure influence.

I think the extra 5 contact is going to help. Strausburg carved me up and Myers really kept me off balance. Both have 12-6 curveballs, against other pitches I won't K so much.

I play with MK's rosters in a franchise. I make some slight tweaks to my Braves team and leave the rest of the rosters as MK made it.

Those rosters are from March 31st as a base. I continue to work on them, adding new players as they are called up (looking for accurate scouting reports and pictures). I'm continually fixing them as I go, and they also include a LOT of the work that LTrain8 put into his rosters, with a TON of minor leaguers (around 200 of the top ones).

I have gone with 30 60 for user with 75 cpu pitch sucess which is a mix of legend and all star and 45 70 for cpu with 40 pitch control for user, I'll play some games tonight.

Played 3 more last night with 30/55 50/75 settings.

                              Reds (Aorroyo) 2 runs, 10 hits, 3 doubles, 2bb, 11ko
                              Braves (Hanson) 4 runs, 9 hits, 3 doubles, 1HR, 2BB, 8ko

                              Pirates (Karstens) 2 runs, 7 hits, 2 doubles, 1 HR, 2BB, 8KO
                              Braves (Beachy) 6 runs, 14 hits, 3 doubles, 3BB, 4KO

                              Braves (Hudson) 3 runs, 7 hits, 3 doubles, 2BB, 9ko
                              Marlins (Johnson) 4 runs, 1 double, 1 triple, 1 HR, 2BB, 8ko

That last game against the Marlins Josh Johnson was stellar through 8. Leo Nunez comes in to close it up 4-1 and goes bases loaded nobody out. Eventually it came down to bases loaded, 2 outs and Hinske up. Doubled down the line but I forgot to sub a faster runner in at first to run for McCann. McCann gets thrown out at the plate to end the game, would've tied the game otherwise.

User runs are about right. CPU still a little low. Overall K's are a little high. Arroyo always gives me problems with all the offspeed stuff he has and Josh Johnson is a stud. I go against an average pitcher and I only K 4 times in the pirates game. CPU is still striking out too often and they aren't getting the big hit with RISP. Only in the marlins game were they able to get the big hit. A red hot Infante tripled with 2 outs and the bases loaded. Otherwise their only other run came off a Hanley solo shot.

Any suggestions on how to up the CPU run totals without the hit totals getting too high?

Data below. I really think the hold/cold streak stuff effected the most recent 5 games I played and held the numbers down. My braves team has been mostly cold, and the only team I played that was more hot than hold was the Astros and it would take a red hot Astros team to equal a normal MLB offense they are so bad lol. There's no reason at all that user homeruns should DROP from 1.6 per game to .4 per game when I raise user contact and don't lower user power lol. Gotta be the cold streaks.

For comparison, here are my results from previous 5 games when I had 25/55, 45/75 batting:
                                After 5 games:
