    No.

Batters eye are the blue bars that show up around the strike zone while batting to show you roughly where the pitch is going and it also tells you pitch type. If you have the strike zone turned off while batting this feature will not work at all.

      Re: Blazzen's MLB 2K11 Slider's

I have quit my season and will start a new one once the patch comes out. I have spent the last two weekends updating my roster. I first downloaded off of 2kshare the minor league and opening day roster, and then updated people stats like zobrist who is on fire or verlander who is hot. I didn't update that much, just enough to make it like it is in real life. I also brought up people from the minor league like Julio Teheran, Jerry Sands, Alex White, Pete Orr, and etc. After that its time to perfect the sliders. I played 4 or 5 just random team games. I will up load the stats of the games when I get home, and tell you what slider changes I made for each different game.

The patch releases on May 18th. I'm considering starting over from default all star and tweaking from there. Depends on how much free time I have.

Is it a known fact that the patch is going to drastically alter game-play, or is this unmerited panic?

I haven't seen any notes yet, so I'm just curious why the need to start over from fresh? thanks...

Yea I dont think this patch will merit any drastic changes or starting over ur franchise, the only thing Im looking forward to from this patch is the fatigue working correctly, other than that im not sure what else is glaring wrong with this game at all

              Re: Blazzen's MLB 2K11 Slider's

There's a few more things that need fixing in the patch:

              freezes
              fatigue
              HR/OUT glitch
              Players not disappearing when injured/subbed
the amount of injuries (specifially to pitchers it seems)

that's the main stuff I think.

but not a lot there that should make drastic changes to how the game itself plays in regards to sliders and such.

Yeah, may not have to start completely over. User batting is going to need some tweaking though. Lowering CPU pitch success to 60 kind of throws everything off but I think it was needed to be able to hit HR's with guys under 80 or so power.

                  Re: Blazzen's MLB 2K11 Slider's

Blazzen I'm really enjoying your sliders but I have a major problem...

I am using the classic controls to hit and like most I don't have power with the middle line type players but I am hitting insane amounts of homeruns with the sluggers... ex: Arod in 13 games had 10 homeruns, Utley in 7 games had 5, and Howard in 7 games had 6... If I use your newer adjustments to help the lower end guys isn't that going to make the better guys better as well??? If so I will hit 110 homeruns with the "all star" type players. You have worked a ton with these sliders and you have done a really nice job. I play the game to generate a 110% real life type of Season, I try to take on the personalities of the players and managers etc. So what do you think I should do???

My two solutions are to one just lower the power and if I hit minimal homeruns with the clowns then so be it but at least I wont hit 80 w/ an MVP type guy or two raise the cpu pitch effectiveness really high and raise my power... do you think the second option would help more???

                  Looking forward to your feedback.

I don't have an answer for you at this point. I have the same issue. If I get to where I can hit HR's with lower power guys then I have too much offense overall. If I get the offense tuned correctly I can't hit HR's w/ the lesser power guys.

I'm guessing you have played 2k for a few years now... I played the Show a little bit the last two years and this is the first year I've played 2k in prob. 4 or 5 years. It says X is all I need to hit but is it pressure sensitive in turning it into contact to power swing?

I use the swing stick and have not had the opportunity to play the show because I do not own a PS3. I've played 2k since 2k7. I don't think there's any difference in how you press the button though. It is based 100% on timing.

With user batting 35/55 and cpu pitch success @ 60 and Strike Zone Tendency at 50 I'm seeing:

                          - Too many hits overall
                          - Not enough HR's
                          - Not enough walks, low cpu pitch counts, too many strikes

I tried 30/60 user batting with 60 pitch success and 40 strike zone tendency and it was better, but still too many hits overall. It just seems to play the same game over and over again, not enough variety.

Haven't had a chance to try out the patch yet.
