Patch notes are out. SEVERAL things they mention in the notes will effect gameplay and sliders. I'm going to start over at default all star and tweak from there. I'll post changes as I get time.

Batting
- Batters will no longer hit unrealistic, soft liners

• More grounders instead of soft liners
• Improved hit distribution

- How hard CPU AI batters hit the ball is more closely matched to their power ratings than it was before

• More home runs by power hitting CPU AI players
• Not as many HRs by weak hitting CPU AI players

- Improved CPU AI batter logic for taking pitches

• Will not chase as many poorly thrown balls
• Will take advantage of more poorly thrown strikes

I'm thinking all of the above will have some effect on how the sliders play.

cpu baserunning too. I just lowered my cpu aggression from 100 to 90. you might want to look at yours as well. it's WAY overblown now as guys are ALL over the bases.

Default all star blows so I started from my normal sliders except changed cpu strike zone tendency back to 40 and lowered cpu base running aggression to 80.

Braves Offense:8 singles, 3 doubles, 2 HRs (Gonzalez and McCann), 2BB 7KO
Nat Offense: 4 singles, 1 double, 1 triple 4 BB 14KO

Braves Pitching- 63 balls, 78 strikes, 4 BBs 14 KO
Nats Pitching 46 balls 77 strikes 2BBs 7KO

At first I thought user offense was going to be too low, then I got into their bullpen lol. Good to see a HR w/ gonzalez with 75 power. This is a good start, going to keep on with these for a few games.

Biggest thing I saw the patch do was remove ALL LAG. Plays smooth as silk now.

Played part of a game vs. the Brewers. Hit a 3 run homer with McClouth (68 power). was 6-2 Braves in the 5th and the GD game froze. I almost never had any franchise freezes and then when they patch for them it freezes on me lol.

Thats crazy!!! I am 43 games into my franchise and have had only 1 freeze...........so far btw between urs and MK's sliders nothing needs to be changed except CPU Aggression slider, so far 90 is good instead of 100, they def try to take more bases..........everything else seems the same tho

I so agree. In My Player mode, CPU opponents and on my team are too aggressive running the base paths. I've seen too many assists from the outfield taking advantage of this aggressiveness.

Dose it matter if I start my franchise with pro level and use this slider?
I try the first time with RedSox. hardly for me to get a single but I got 5 solo HRs.... So I win 5 to 0
Does the level in creating the franchise matter?
If it does... I need to start over with what level?

no it dont matter.. for some reason people believe that if they start on Legend, and they adjust the sliders from that level that the game will play better or be more difficult. its false, just people thinking they see things bc of it etc.

Is anyone else seeing a lot of hits? I have played 3 games and I have seen 10+ hits for myself and the computer in each of them. I do use the contact swing a lot unless I am ahead in the count, so I do not know if thats what causes me to get more hits?

Use them and u should be good

I wouldn't go telling people this is false information, a lot of people believe it does make a difference and there has never been anyone to confirm this to be false or true, I am skeptical about it but I in fact believe this is a matter of opinion

Cause I just blow out my opponent(Rangers) in a 3 game series...
I am ganna try usin All Star level to start n c if the game becomes more difficult

I've seen the same using the sliders I have on the first page.

Had 7 runs 13 hits in first game.
Played 7 or 8 innings of a game last night. Had 12 runs on 13 hits, 2 HR's. I bumped up cpu strike zone tendency to 45, had too many easy walks.

CPU batting seems to be fine. It's the user batting that needs tweaking. I hit a HR w/ freedie freeman (68 power) which is good to see. Seems if I'm hitting HR's w/ lower power guys then I'm scoring too many runs. Get the run totals right and I cant hit HR's w/ anyone less than 80ish power.

It is false. That's how it was for NHL 2k10 and 2k11... Same applies here!!
