No worries, we all want to have a final set we can roll through the season with.

That last box score looked good, by the way what are your thoughts on the composure slider at 0?

I think its an improvement but the pitchers still get rattled way too easily, even early in the game when one guy gets on base.

Despite any 'issues' I might have with the game, I actually think it plays great and its honestly the most fun I've had with a baseball game in years.

Well I've finally played a game with composure @ 0. Lost the game 3-1 to the Twinkies. 1-1 into the 8th brought Soriano in who seems to have some kind of chronic injury. Blows the lead on 2 HR's. Twinkies bring in Nathan in the 9th Game Over.

Twins had 10 hits, I had 8. I really enjoyed this game. Not once did my controller rumble. Even when my pitcher put a couple of men on.

For those who are racking, I'm really not sure what tell you except to lower contact.

I never liked that Composure Slider, as I've always felt it was over-programmed. @ 0 the game just feels natural especially in the pitching dept.

I've only had a chance to play 1 game with the comp. at 0, and it was for sure a much different (BETTER) feeling of a game.

I was ATL (Hudson) vs DET (Schzerer (sp?)). I was up 2-0 most of the game, but funny thing, I robbed a 2 out HR by Cabrera, but it gave them the 2 runs, but also the 3rd out. ??????????????? Anyone seen this? Thorne even said "And he makes a great play to rob the HR" (or something along those lines). Anyway, I was able to tie the game in the 9th, but blew it in bot 9.

I still had about 10 hits, not sure where Schzerer is in DET's rotation, but they only had 2 hits on Hudson through 7.

Can't wait to play again, may need to lower contact to 30 for CPU and USER . . .

I think you guys are right on with this pitcher composure slider. Set mine to 0 and played a franchise game. Results.....

Royals (me) 10 3 0
Mariners 10 2 2

Tied going into the bottom of the ninth. I singled then on a bunt to advance him the Seattle pitcher made an error and threw the ball down the right field line. Men on second and third and then I singled to center to win the game.

I hit one double and one homer. Mariners hit two doubles and the rest were singles. Played really well. Obviously no big innings for either team. Going to run with this for now. Thanks guys.

I am in the bottom of the 4th inning now playing with Composure at 5.

This is what just happened (in regards to Composure), using the Rockies with Hammel on the mound against the Yankees.

I walk the first 2 batters and the next guy singles in the runner on second. The box pops up that my pitcher is rattled (half a bar or 50%), I strikeout the next batter and Hammel is still rattled but now the bar increased to 3quarters or 75%. I do a mound visit and he is full again and then get the next 2 outs. So maybe 5 might be the number IF you are looking for trying to work out of jams and using mound visits.

Playing a game, my Tigers at the Cubs. I couldn't hit Garza for anything for the first 4 innings. They just brought in a new pitcher because I just hit 7 in a row, scored 5 runs and there still aren't any outs.
He got rattled and I got on a roll. Now I'm betting now that there is a fresh pitcher in, I go out quickly.

btw, I lowered CPU strikes to 45


The inning just ended, 8 runs in the inning... 14 hits after 5 innings.

I'm just that good LOL

Hey, how many HR's are you guys hitting? I'm guessing you use power swing when you do because I rarely use it and don't have many HR's.


Oh, I should have a more difficult time hitting since I can't see the ball as well as you guys.

Here are my conclusions of this pitcher composure slider after monitoring the CPU after every walk and hit in this last game. After 2 hitters reach base the composure level drops to 75%, now if the third man reaches base it drops to 50%.

I was able to string 5 hits together in this game ( never did this with 0 composure yet), now on the fourth hit the pitcher stayed at 50%, but after the 5th hit it dropped to 25%.

I will keep it on zero. I like the fact that the pitchers lose effectiveness or zip or movement or whatever on their pitches ,but just makes for a hit machine on both sides.

This was a play now gm, so I was able to see the inside edge for the CPU composure.

Nice picture, Dude I am in my mid 40's I dont see the ball like I used to. LOL

I am curious about the pitchers getting rattled though. At 0 they should always be calm, at least in every game I have played they are always calm after 3-4 hits in a row.

Garza came out throwing 98 MPH and I was like "What? " I couldn't see it LOL

You know thats interesting , because fatigue does play a roll too. We notice its harder to make those perfect gestures as our pitchers get tired. I am thinking of moving Fatigue back to 50, at 60 its to high, at 40 seems a little to low. Any thoughts?

We definitely have different results though which is a good thing. One thing that stands out is the Strike%, I rarely see 70+% on both sides.

Well, obviously user strike outs and strike percentages are going to vary. I swing alot but you can see from several pictures that I do get their pitch count up most of the time.

My pitch count is up because I tend to pitch more to contact than try to paint corners and throw balls.

I will say this in regards to fatigue. When I'm pitching, like in this last game for example, Porcello was at like 64 pitches (threw 78 total) and as soon as one runner was on base, the meter was WAY too fast. I try to get my pitchers to go 6 or 7 innings and even if their pitch count is relatively low, the meter is pretty fast.

In my opinion, the meter speed should be faster if he is rattled but not tired. In that case, he should lose velocity and some control but not be overthrowing everything.

But , I'll try whatever you'd like to try.

Yeah, thats what I am seeing also, the pitchers are a little to fatigued at 65 pitches. This should occur at the 80+ mark imo. Just like Kruk says "He's at the 80 pitch mark now, so the coaches need to keep an eye on him". I think at 40 fatigue this occurs in the 60-70 pitch range, and 50 might be 75-85 range. 60 is definitely to high, so 50 or 55 I believe will be the final number.

After seeing your edit try 55, I will try this number tomorrow also. Who knows maybe with zero composure 60 might work.

I thought 40 fatigue meant it took more pitches to make the pitcher tire.
60 Means that the pitcher would tire quicker, right?
