Just blew the lead in the 9th v Tigers Magglio hit a 2 run bomb of Mariano. I now have 2 on, no outs with the heart of the order coming up...

EDIT: A-ROD walk off HR. Tanks win 9-7.. Sorry Garret... ;-)

Nice game there. How did the strike% look? BB's and K's?

Re: BIGFNJOE96 mlb 2k11 Custom Legend Sliders

I think when I get the editor, I'm going to edit all of the power ratings to try to get a realistic user HR total WITHOUT using power swing with the stick.

I hate the animation for power swing, its stupid fast but the one plus for using it is you can check swings, whereas you can't with the regular swing.

      The system is seriously flawed

Don't remember, but the #'s seemed realistic. I know Burnett went 7 & threw 85 pitches.

Did try 5 composure for User Pitching. No rattling controller when Burnett got in trouble.

        Game felt really good.

Yes I use analog controls for both Pitching & Hitting.

Also YES starting @ Legend gives the AI somewhat of a boost. Right now I really haven't changed anything except AI Contact(lowered) & Composure

I realize this is the EXTREME for adjustment, I was just trying to see something. I'm also going to try contact at 100 and power at zero, Contact at 0 and power at 100

. I want to know how each slider affects the game.

I don't want to make the game into an arcade game, but I've only hit like 8 HR's in 20 games and only 1 with Cabrera.

EDIT: Want a challenge, try power and contact at 0 LOL

I do wonder something though (as usual),

              IF

I start on Pro and use the sliders on page 1

You start on Legend and use sliders on page 1

              Same game?

Or does starting on Legend automatically give the CPU some boost and the user a decline in ratings without regard to slider setting?
It should be, because once you edit a slider, any slider, it moves the game to "Custom" so it becomes its own difficulty.

Yeah, Power swing is almost a must, although I have hit a couple of HRs with Contact swing. In a game today, Josh Hamilton hit one out on an 0-2 count; yanked it down the RF line, just inside the foul pole @ Arlington.

Re: BIGFNJOE96 mlb 2k11 Custom Legend Sliders

I'm using Classic button hitting and I have no problem with homeruns. I usually hit at least one a game and I have the user power at 50. I don't use the left stick at all, just the button. I've always used the analog swing stick, and last year the Classic button hitting felt like there wasn't much power at all (it seemed to only be contact swings), but this year the Classic hitting is much improved. The results are good and I doubt I'll go back to the analog swing stick.

As for AI homers: One of my complaints last year was that the AI rarely (if ever) hit homeruns. This year I'm happy to see the AI is back to hitting them, and I like actually fearing power hitters once again while I'm pitching. Right now, I have the AI power at 100 because I'm actually enjoying the challenge of battling with them, although I may tone it down a bit, but probably not much, if at all (they usually hit 1 or 2 per game at the most). The games feel quite realistic, with most games ending up with scores such as 6-3, 4-2, etc.

I think we need to take a serious look at cpu errors with this set.
The last 3 games I have played the cpu has a total of 11 errors.
                      They are all throwing errors.
Playing vs Milwaukee last night they had 3 infield throwing errors in the 1st inning alone.

I'm wondering if 1 slider needs to be lower than the other slider in order for different errors to occur.(Gather/Throw)

Anyone wanna look @ what these sliders are set to for:

                        USER: Legend

Garret thanks for this. It's weird that the AI has the same #'s across the board, yet the User #'s are all different.

Maybe 80 gather & 50 throw for both. Hopefully this will cause more errors on gathers & less errors on throws

Wow, I havent seen 1 throwing error in 14 gms now by the CPU. I have seen the occasional wide throw to firstbase on the backend of doubleplays, but thats it. In those cases, I get the hit all of the time. Wierd

I have seen some, I had one game where the CPU made a throwing error to 1st on the first two plays of the game.

I don't see alot of them though but maybe 1 per game on average, and that is usually first base.
