I do believe the OF SPEED may need notched down. The cpu gets to everything, they also charge the ball way to fast. I hit a one hopper to RF with Drew Stubbs and got thrown out at 1B. Drew Stubbs is one of the fastest men in baseball.
Looking over the Fielder Speed Sliders(all levels) I think IF:30/OF:25 might be a good #.

I think 30 and 25 are the within the ideal ranges for the speed of Fielders! If anything, the human player could have a 5 point increase! I think that it's the initial break of the fielder that hinders the user! The computer dies not seem to have this occur.
I am the lesson after the fall.

BIGFNJOE96 thanks for your efforts. Just to give you some background, I have played MLB 2K for a handful of years now so I am not new to the game. I just picked up 2K11 so I have only played a handful of games so I am still a bit rusty. That said, here is my feedback....

        Positives
-games are competitive, I have lost more than I have won
-I have been able to K the CPU a realistic # of times per game (8-10)
-defensively I am able to run down most catchable balls and throws are realistically accurate (I have made an error or two)
-realistic CPU pitching (good ball to strike ratio)
-CPU hitting is pretty realistic. There have been a few games where they get too many hits but this may be pitching execution and I will get into that later.

        Negatives
-I am striking out quite a bit. I use power swings but mostly contact when protecting or behind in the count. I am not sure if this an execution thing but I feel I am right on pitches (replay confirms) and I am not even fouling them off. I feel like the pitching is realistic as I mention above but I am just not fouling enough balls off to stay alive.
-I feel like the settings lack a bit of gap power. Again, this may be execution as I am not squaring the ball up enough, but I cant seem to hit doubles. I feel like I have had a few hard hit balls but the fields are getting to them so this may be more an OF speed thing. I have hit a few HRs but feel this should be raised a tick
-Pitching control - this is a tough one because I like how this gets user pitch count up and makes the game competitive, but I also feel like I miss right over the plate too often. I feel like I execute pitches pretty well but I will miss badly at times even with pitchers with great control and those usually lead to hits.
-CPU steals - I have had a really hard time throwing out CPU runners. my catcher sucks so that may be the issue, but most have not even been close.

Overall, I may be alone on these issues I am having. And this feedback isnt mean to be a knock, but I just wanted to see if you or anyone else has experienced any of this.

Ross, thanks for the feedback. If you feel your timing is right, but your missing the ball bump the User Contact up. Put to 50 & see how that goes.

As for User Pitching, if you feel pitches are not going were they should bump-up User Pitch Control. Try 40 & see how that feels

As for Catching, bump your Catcher Arm Strength up. give 75 a try.

Post back & let me know if these tips help any

Thanks. I tried the changes you suggested and had a great opening day game against the Pirates (I was the Cubs). I was down 5-1 in the 6th and made it 5-4 going into the 9th. Pena hit a HR to send it into extras and then in the 13th he hit a walkoff HR to send the Pirates home with a loss.

On another non-sliders related note, does anyone else feel like the Swing Analysis thing is broken? I swear half the time it tells me VERY EARLY SWING I had actually swung late, and sometimes it says it's perfect when I swear I wasn't even close.

Is everyone using Contact Swing exclusively, or are you guys using Power Swing as well with these?

              Thanks.

              Love the sliders, Joe!

Same here. Depends on the hitter and the situation.

hey joe, how often are you gonna update these sliders? will you make changes as need on the front page set? i just dont like having to go through pages looking for thing you suggest should be changed, rather updating the front page daily.

you have me convinced that your the man when it comes to 2k11 sliders. i will definately stick to this thread for your thoughts, suggestions, and of course, the sliders.

also a couple suggestions. i feel the contact swing is too low. i constantly strike out, never foul off pitches (neither does the cpu) and never seem to get a decent amount of hits. also, fielders are wayyyy too fast. i had david ortiz bunt for a base hit, and carlos santana shot over to the ball like a lightning bolt, snagged it, and completely missed the throw. the throw meter may be too low as well. its like you have to get the bar inside the perfect throw zone or the throw will be off, even if it is a routine ground ball and you go in the light green zone, the throw will be way off.

my strike out proble may result from the fact that ive been playing online so much lately and my timing is way off, along with the fact that for some reason i can seem to have any discipline at the plate, and i'm always swinging at stupid pitches, along with swinging either way too early or way too late on almost every swing. it gets to be stressful

I will definitely update the 1st page with any changes. Right now the only changes I've made are to Fielder Speed which are now reflected in my 1st post..

OK, I think this 1st PATCH may have done something to the fielding sliders. I have changed Fielder Speed Sliders, but I think another change for the USER is coming. Can people please set USER OF Speed to 0 & test this out & post back.

I'm also thinking about bumping up the Contact Slider: USER:45/CPU:55. I'm testing these right now. I'm seeing some nice contact & ball physics coming off the bat wIth this TEST

Hey Joe, just want to say that I haven't posted on here in a long time but I had to tonight. I started using your sliders today and modified them with the settings you suggested for rossaroni.
These might have given me the best baseball games that I have played in a long time.
I did have to change cpu pitch speed to 40 so I could draw walks because of my lack of depth percetion.

I have played about 8 games with these. Here is my game I just finished:

                          Red Sox(me) 8 15 0
                          Cubs(cpu) 7 14 1

                          Red Sox- 15 for 39 with 9 strikeouts and 3 walks, 3 SB's (2 for Ellsbury and 1 for Crawford), 3 doubles, 3 HR's.
                          Dice-K(W): 6 IP, 9 hits, 5 ER, 9 K's, 3 BB's, 4 solo home runs given up (typical Dice-K)
                          Bard(H): 2 IP, 2 hits, 1 BB
Papelbon(SV): 1 IP, 3 hits, 2 ER, 2 K's, SV (although he almost blew it in typical Paps fashion)

                          Cubs- 14 for 40 with 11 strikeouts and 4 BB's, 1 SB for Castro, 1 double, 1 triple, 4 HR's.
                          Silva: 2.2 IP, 5 hits, 4 runs, 3 ER, 5 K's, 2 BB's, 1 HR
                          Diamond: 2.1 IP, 2 hits, 2 K's
                          Russell: 1 IP
                          Marshall (L): .1 IP, 3 hits, 3 ER, 1 HR
                          Wood: 2.1 IP, 5 hits, 1 ER, 2 K's, 1 HR
                          Marmol: .1 IP
Soto had an error on an overthrow trying to throw out Ellsbury on his second steal attempt.

It was a great game. Ortiz had a pinch hit homer that he jacked out to center on the first pitch he saw from Wood in the top of the 9th to put me up by 3. Then I bring Paps in and he proceeds to give up 2 runs then get the next 3 out by striking out 2 and Crawford caught a Aramis Ramirez fly ball at the warning track to end the game.

Pitch count was: Red Sox 87 strikes/45 balls, Cubs 89 strikes/49 balls

                          Great job Joe.

I say go 60, not every pitcher can maintain his fastball deep into the game. At 50 I think the fatigue effect is to forgiving, as I was still hitting 94 with Buckholz in the 9th in on less than 30% fatigue

Played a game with these sliders, only change was user/cpu inf/outfielder speed was set to 25.

                              Braves (me) 6 13 1
                              Mets 4 8 0

                              Lowe vs. Niese

                              Offense:
                              Braves 10 singles, 3 doubles, 5 walks
                              Mets 3 singles, 4 doubles, 1 homerun, 1 walk

                              Pitching:
                              Braves 43 balls, 73 strikes, 6 ko, 1 walk, 9ip
                              Mets 58 balls, 85 strikes, 9 ko, 5 walks, 9ip

Lowe gave up only 2 runs on 3 hits through 7 innings. One was a homerun by Ike Davis on a low inside fastball (felt about right). Other was a double by Jose Reyes which I made a ******** throw to third which went in the dugout (lol). He scored on the next pitch (wild pitch).

The thing I like about these sliders is I can make solid contact with the contact swing. I was using 40/40 user batting sliders and I had trouble making solid contact. With these sliders I basically only use the power swing in 2-0, 3-0 and 3-1 counts. Contact swing in regular counts and defensive swing in 0-2 and 1-2 counts. I had a poke single with prado on an 0-2 low and away slider.

Hoping the offensive explosion is from going against a crappy starter in Niese. Will play some more games to see. Slider set played well. I CANNOT pinpoint pitches at all. I gave up the last two runs of the game with Kimbrel being wild as hell (realistic).

Blazzen, how were the IF reacting with speed @ 25? I noticed they move really slow towards balls in the hole, which end-up being hits. @ 30 they move more life-like but balls still make it thru the hole.

Also give my 0 OF Speed slider a shot. I have found what happens with IF Speed @ 30 is happening with OF Speed @ 0. OF move more realistically in the OF. No longer do the corner OF have CF speed, unless they are fast in real life

eli this is something I've been watching. I'm gonna take your suggestion & bump fatigue to 60 & see what happens.
