Tried these sliders out on my first game ever on 2k11. Blue Jays vs. Twins MLB today game.

Final score- Jays 14 - Twins 0 (Funny cause the Jays are putting a beat down on the Twins in real life right now)

I put up a 7 spot in the first inning.

Just finished my second game with the sliders. 1st of the Franchise mode with the Jays. Went up 8-1 on the Twins and started thinking I might need to adjust the sliders since my earlier game was a blowout. Then the 6th happened. I couldn't get an out to save my life. Gave up 10 runs in the top of the 6th between 4 pitchers.. battled back in the bottom half to be down 10-9. We traded runs in the 8th and 9th. Minny came close with in the 10th but I held to no runs after giving up a lead off double. Then in the bottom of the 10th I hit a walk off with Bautista with 2 outs. What a frigging game.

      Notables -
Justin Morneau had 6 hits against me
E5 (Edwin Encarnacion) hit 2 bombs in the upper deck. The second was a massive shot off Nathan to center that tied it up the game in the 9th
Arron Hill almost hit the cycle.
In all, 45 hits between the two teams.

Latest updates on page 1 - post 1 (bold and red). Saturday, April 2nd.

I have no idea what to make of the last couple posts. I just played as the Indians vs. White Sox (cpu). It was yesterday's opening day matchup of Carmona (me) vs. Buerhle (cpu). I won 2-1 in 10 innings in what may have been the most exciting baseball game I've played in a long time. The CPU had 11 hits and I had 9. There were many exciting moments in this game in which big plays were made. The White Sox scored their only run in the 1st inning. I tied it on a sac-fly in the 6th. I used 5 pitchers out of my bullpen and each of them had their good and bad moments but came up huge. I won it in the bottom of the 10th with a run scoring single in which the scoring run came from a player on 2nd base and a close play at the plate.

I have not seen these numerous hit games in any games I've personally played. My guess is that you're a MUCH better player than I am and these sliders are not for you (nor is classic hitting, would be my guess).

It's only a small sample size (2 games played on 2k11) I'll give it 10 games or so before I decide to change things up. The sliders are a great start point for me and even though my second game was crazy it will still one of the most enjoyable games I've played in the past few years.

mk, wow impressed by your user fielding sliders. That would def be a challenge. Are these up on 2K Share yet? If so, I'll give them a try.

Enjoying the sliders so far. Game 3 (2nd of my franchise is in the books) Oakland took it to me. After kicking off the game with a homerun, Cahill was lights out for the rest of the game. His sinker and slider kept me off balance all game. 10-1 Oakland was the final.
So far I blow the cpu out. We both go nuts and then the cpu blows me out. Lol.

                MK,

Thanks for all the work you do both in MLB and NBA.

Quick question, have you uploaded these sliders to 2K Share?

Additionally, I downloaded your opening day rosters...amazing, thanks.

Thanks! No, I haven't. I didn't feel I was close to a "final" version so I didn't want to upload them. Doesn't take but a minute or so to manually plug in the numbers.

Yup, I just plugged them in a little while ago and will test them out over the next day or so before starting my franchise.

just played another amazingly fun game...

brewers (cpu) at reds (me). today's matchup. i lost 6-3. brewers had 12 hits and i had 9. homers for weeks (2-run shot) and a solo for fielder. mcgehee with 3 hits (double).

i was down 3-0 and then had a rally to make it 3-2. brewers got another run in the 7th to go up 4-2 and then got to my bullpen (i let masset go about 2 batters too long) to put up 2 more.

i scored 1 run in the 9th and then got a single and drew a walk. brandon phillips was the tying run (with 2 on and 2 out) and grounded out to 2nd.

i am VERY satisfied with these sliders and will admit that i really LOVE this game. i'll wait for a patch to dive into franchise mode, but all the exhibition games i've played are a blast.

one thing i caught (that i LOVED): when i was playing as the indians i hit a ball to deep left. wasn't sure of what to do because i had a runner on 1st. the LF faked me out by standing there, making it look like it was a HR. but the ball bounced high off the wall and he played it nicely and held my runners. the realism of that play was simply outstanding, something that i didn't think could be recreated in a baseball video game.

i also had a nicely handled ball by phillips at 2nd base after he bobbled it. barely got the runner, but he recovered just in time to get him. i know my fielding sliders may scare some of you, but you need to give them a shot...

kudos to 2k... not a perfect game, but i can tell you after several games i'd give this game an 8.9 out of 10. if they can fix franchise mode i'd push this a little higher.

probably gonna plug these in tonight and try them. Ive been using Bulls' sliders for a while and really like them, but I like to try a few different sets before I start a franchise. the only thing that I would do differently is that I'll be using pinpoint aim instead of breakpoint....do you think that will make a difference in how the sliders perform?

Played along with the FOX game of the week. Unlike the real GIANTS, I couldn't solve Ted Lilly to save my life today. I'll partially blame it on adjusting to the new PITCH SPEED and PBI slider numbers.

Game played great though, I'm really liking where these are at.

Again, I really like these sliders. One thing I do feel needs changed is the user Outfield Run Speed. I set mine back to the default 20 and it sometimes it still feels like I get to fly balls a bit too quickly with mediocre outfielders. If seems I'm able to catch some balls that should be hit over my head or in the gap.

Hi Mkharsh 33. I noticed that you are using Different Pitch speeds for human and CPU... Can u tell what is affected in terms of hitting and SO By the CPU. I mean when u are pitching u use the 75 speed instead of 80... can u tell what would affect in the game ??

Because i use the 80 speed for the CPU pitch and so put the same with the human pitch just to be the same... The less speed makes the CPU work more on the count, wait for better balls, like he sees the balls better ?

                              Thanks...

The one thing you have to do with this game is offset certain things.

I went with the outfielder speed the way I did because I have CPU batting contact at 45 and cpu batting power at 100. This means that they make more contact and that they have the ability to drive more balls in the gaps. So, you have to make a concession and the outfield speed needs to be raised. If you don't you'll give up a ton of both hits and runs. Also, you'll strike out the cpu a ton because if you lower their batting contact you won't see them make solid contact.

For me, it's the give-and-take of this game...
