I am only playing exhibition (play now) games until a patch drops... But in those games, even after reducing the power they are still solid.

I played a game today...VERY fun!!!! Mets (cpu) at Braves (me). I won 6-5. I trailed 4-0 in the first inning. Big blast was an Ike Davis 3 run homer (he missed the cycle by a triple). I then cut it to 4-3 on a 3-run shot from Heyward.

Jurrjens struggled and I yanked him after 4 1/3 (10 hits, 5 runs, 4 earned). My bullpen pitched AWESOME as I only gave up one more hit the rest of the game: a Kimbrel single in the 9th which was erased on a double-play ball. I got homers from 2 other players (Uggla & Gonzalez). I also gave up 3 homers to the Mets... Mets finished with 11 hits to my 10.

I've actually given some thought to lowering power by 5 for both user and cpu. But want to try more matchups.

I will admit that I'm LOVING this game and finding it very addictive. Many different types of games across the board... Not perfect, but very fun!

          - Raise both user and cpu infielder speed to 30

          - lower cpu baserunner speed to 40
Some one posted on how 50 speed for both the infield and outfield was the way to go, and I tried it. I have to say it worked out good so far. Solid hit ground balls still make it through, but at the same time with a good jump you have a chance of making a diving stops. I have never had that opportunity with infield speed at 30.

Also baserunner speed at 35 works perfect. I have infield arm strength at 30 and outfield arm at 60, and it all works great for me..

appreciate the feedback... i will plug those in and give them a look.

i especially agree with the infield speed...at 30 i've never gotten close to a diving stop. thanks!

              New updates - Friday, April 22 - 2:15 a.m.

All changes are noted in BOLD and RED

Feedback appreciated...I think these are VERY close.

Note the pitching stamina change (make sure you save this under your settings file).

These are NOT on 2K share so you'll need to take a minute and plug them in manually.

I have not updated the first post, but I'm going to try something (based upon feedback I'm seeing elsewhere here in the other OS slider forums):

user batting contact: 30 (lowered from 35)
user batting power: 75 (raised from 70)

cpu batting contact: 40 (lowered from 45)
cpu batting power: 85 (raised from 80)

still seeing too many base-hits from both sides, but sense a bit of a power-outage. I don't want to see too many user pitching strikeouts, so I'll keep an eye on that.

                  Feedback on this appreciated! Thanks!

Something to consider is how well your executing your pitch, because anything with not enough velocity will be hit solid by the cpu, and bad gestures.

I have batting contact and power for both the cpu and myself at 40 contact - 60 power, and everything is working fine. I do have pitch speed at 90. The lowest I would go with contact is 30, but I feel 40 is accurate.

I also have for throw speed 30 for infielders, and I believe outfield throw speed at 60 or 70. I need to double check that. Try them and see what you think.

One more note to pitch better I think changing the camera to the batters cam helps a ton in pitching better.

even with the settings i'm using on page 1, i'm still getting 10-14 hits per game. just not realistic...

the problem is that 2k needs to lighten up on the line-drive outs to the middle infielders and get more ground outs. even after all the games i've played, there is still no happy medium in this game.

Posting this here since this is the slider set I used for most of this run.

My MYPLAYER Pitcher finally got the call last night. I had just gotten him to the point where he was dominating AAA batting, now comes the buzzsaw that is the AL EAST. Should interesting.

This set makes a fun mode even better, though I don't know if my MP CenterFielder agrees.

Hey mk, I love your slider set, I am using it right now and it has given me great games, for the past few years I have used total control hitting, why do you go away from that and use classic? Ide love to hear your opinions on this subject, thanks man

...because i'm an old man and am not good with the sticks (LOL!!). Seriously, I'm almost 39 years old. I'm just better using classic hitting.

But that aside, I actually like classic hitting because it's about timing and eyeing up where the ball is being thrown. I do NOT use the left directional thumbstick. I know one-button hitting is not for everyone, but I find it to be the most enjoyable baseball experience. These latest sliders are giving me AWESOME games.

If I want to pull the ball I look for balls pitched low and inside. This year, 2k is rewarding you for good decisions. last year, that piece of crap game would allow you to pull a ball that pitched 3 feet outside. They've fixed that. If I want to go the other way, I will delay my swing, especially if I want a groundball to the right side of the infield.

In real baseball there's no such thing as a left stick. It's all about timing and pitch location.

Like I said, it's not for everyone. But I love it. I play strictly (right now) exhibition games. If a patch drops and fixes some things I will then do a fantasy draft and play in my own created world (it takes me forever to get through the draft because I get meticulous). But this is a very, very fun game and I give 2K credit for the effort they're giving this title.

(one last thought... if you are looking to use thumb stick hitting, i'd suggest you look at blazzen's or bigfnjoe's user batting sliders. i know that blazzen is still plugging away at his so you might want to check those threads. the other sliders are pretty much the same across the board, but those would be helpful for you to review).

                                One small change added:

raised user gather error frequency from 90 to 95 (under fielding). This now matches the cpu's.
