Hi Mkharsh 33. I noticed that you are using Different Pitch speeds for human and CPU... Can u tell what is affected in terms of hitting and SO By the CPU. I mean when u are pitching u use the 75 speed instead of 80... can u tell what would affect in the game ??

Because i use the 80 speed for the CPU pitch and so put the same with the human pitch just to be the same... The less speed makes the CPU work more on the count, wait for better balls, like he sees the balls better ?

This came from researching other threads and reading their findings. Guys are testing speeds using some pretty detailed analysis. I made the change from their findings...

gave these a shot for the first time, and just got through playing STL's game with the Padres today. I was the Cardinals and won 6-4. It played pretty well....I liked the pitching with these sliders and the hitting approach. However, these sliders have a glaring flaw IMO. I had 14 hits as STL. I hit a grand slam with Berkman. Other than that, I had 13 singles. The Padres? 11 hits, all singles. The big problem is outfielder speed. both teams had a few gappers that should have been doubles but the OFer's were so freaking fast, that a single was all that could be had.

Adjust sliders to fit you needs accordingly. It might be that you need to instead try a different set.

I'm still here MK and look forward to the updates. I have played a handfull of games and have been tweaking here or there myself. After 6 or 7 games with the Cardinals I only have 1 HR and it was with Holiday (Pujols has been hurt since 1st game andHoliday went down 2 games ago).

Some changes across the board. If you find anything to be too easy or difficult simply make changes on your own within the range of 5 or 10 points.

I have played a number of MLB Today games and these are giving me awesome variance. Last night I played as the Reds (vs. Ariz) and Votto was a double short of the cycle. I have had a couple games where I get 12 hits and a few where I've gotten 4 or 5.

The ball is sprayed all around the field for using hitting, popup outs, line outs, etc. You will need to pitch wisely to the cpu...big bats will let you have it. Smoak had a 2 HR game against me and it was my fault.

one small change...

lowered cpu AI catcher arm strength from 60 to 50... couldn't steal a base to save my life.

I've never used classic pitching so I wouldn't be any help...sorry.

One update to page 1 - post 1. Lowered user batting power from 80 to 70.

This now gives a 2:1 ratio of batting power to batting contact. Finding good results... Pitching is very challenging, but rewarding.

Also, can someone please inform me as to how in the heck you enable classic batting and pitching??? I cannot find this information anywhere for the life of me and have searched the game for hours trying to find it.

1) Options
2) My Controller
3) Controller Setup
4a) LT/RT for batting and then pitching
4b) RB/LB for Classic or Total Control

Not the easiest thing to find, and 2K's logic on some of this is a bit baffling if you're not used to it. Hope this helps...
