    BIGFNJOE96 MLB 2K13 Total Control/Inside Edge Sliders

I wanna thank the OS Community for their input over the years that helped me create Sliders for the Community. I hope you guys have had as much with the game when using them, as I have had in creating them.

    With that here we go....

As the title says these are Total Control/Inside Edge Sliders. Meaning these were created with those 2 features in mind.

You don't have to use Inside Edge if you chose to, but I would strongly suggest you do either with the D-Pad only or with the Strike Zone On & the D-Pad. ENJOY!!!!!!!!

Appreciate the work on the slider set!! Just curious as to what you're seeing with the power slider at 100. Seems to me that every ball hit would be an absolute seed.

I'm not seeing that at all, although I did turn on a FB with Descalso for a nice solo shot down the line using the contact swing. But that was my only HR in a pretty good Cardinal line-up.

Not everything hit is a seed. The hit variety is good. You will seevall different types of contact. IE: pop outs, dribblers, slow rollers etc...

100 power also keeps you honest when pitching. Power hitters feel like a threat at the plate. Which makes for amazing duels when using the Inside Edge feature.

Make a mistake and you find yourself asking the hitter to not make you pay for it after you've let the pitch go.

To me that's the essence of the Pitcher/Batter Interface which this game does really well

New to the site and this is my first attempt at playing a baseball game since like Baseball Stars on Nintendo. I have played 5-6 games before finding these sliders and these actually had a very nice feel to them.

I put them in to my 2nd game of my Spring Training with my beloved ChiSox against the Dodgers. First pitch of the game i thought i was going back to pro level when Carl Crawford launched one to deep center, with the exception of that pitch i felt very good overall and not cheated like i had been with every other game I've played so far.

All in all i like the feel after one game. I'll update as i get a few more games in.

Sliders look good Joe. Curious about the low CPU Contact number. Are you seeing a lot of K's? I've been testing 80/80 for CPU hitting lately.

Just finished a game with these:

              R H E
              BAL (me) 0 2 1
              TB (CPU) 1 3 0

              Hammel 7IP 2H 0R 9K

              Price 9IP 2H 0R 4K

CPU swung at almost nothing outside of the zone and neither of us could get anything going offensively.

                Braves chise:

Tried a franchise game, Phillies(lee) against me(beachy). I won 4-2 with 6 hits, 3 solo HRs( heyward-2, bj upton-1). They had 9 hits no HR. Solid game and fun. Maybe lower hitting power to 90. Will play more to see. I had 7 srtikeouts and they had 8.

                So far thumbs up!!

When using catcher suggestions is the catcher calling the game based off inside edge?

This game wasn't as much of a pitchers duel:

                    R H E
                    BAL (me) 5 11 0
                    MIN (CPU) 2 9 0

                    Correia 5.2IP 8H 3ER 4K

                    Batting
                    Markakis 1/4 1R 1 2B
                    Jones 2/3 1R 1 2B
                    Weiters 1/4 1R 1HR 2RBI
                    Hardy 1/4 1R 1HR 2RBI
                    Betemit 2/4 2 2B

                    Mauer 2/5 1R 1 3B

Just finished playing my first game with this set and it felt pretty good. Getting much better pop off the bat than I've been seeing on the default All Star settings lately, but the only homer given up was a 2 run shot in the 8th by the Rays. I may up the user pitcher control a bit because I'd like a tad more accuracy in my pitches. I'll give these some more burn later on today.

CC went 7.1 innings, gave up 2 runs and struck out 8. Joba gave up a run in the bottom of the 9th to lose the game for us.

Not seeing a lot of k's. The k's I'm seeing are about normal. I believe I'm averaging about 5-6 a game using the Yankees staff.

Good to know because I started a Yankee franchise. Lost the first two games of the series to the Sox 3-1 and 9-3 respectively. The second game of the series I used 80/80 for CPU and Napoli hit 3 bombs and Ortiz hit one. Napoli hit one C, LC, and RC! Lmao. All hanging sliders. I'm still waiting on Jeter to get back from a rehab assignment. He's been out since the first week of March.

These sliders are about exactly what I have been running with. I just need to find the right spot for the hitting sliders. I'm close. Thanks again for putting these out!

I'm iking these, too. I played as the Cards versus the Angels last night. I have decided to keep the strike zone when pitching, even though I use IE stuff constantly. And you still need to dig it out. And that Angels line-up really drives that home.

I also use a pitch accuracy of 10, although I might slide that up to 15. I opened the game with a 3-0 count to Trout, with Wainright on the mound. Trout has no weakness, and exlemplifies the "can't stop him, you cha only hope to contain him," mantra we see in sports. I didn't contain him, as he drove my 3-0 fastball over the wall in left center. I tried to sneak a FB in the inside corner, hoping it might catch it, and he might take it with a 3-0 count. It was a nice wake-up call that you need to be smart, and one mistake can kill you.

But the game plays fair, and other than a solo shot to Josh Hamilton on a FB that was not supposed to be over the plate, Wainright was solid in a 2-1 loss. I actually out hit the angels, but had trouble getting guys in form second or third. But CJ Wilson should be hard to beat.

I may up the CPU contact a hair. Strikeouts were good on both sides, each getting nine. But I'd like to see a few more hits from the CPU. I' going to wait and see how it plays out, though.

Oh, and what are folks seeing in the running game. With the current settings, I feel like I maybe getting steals is too easy, as I had four last game. But I'm throwing everybody out with Yadi, which may not be a fair way to judge. I think I may drop HUM arm strength down a notch or two.

I do think the setting for accuracy is perfect. I see a nice combination of guys getting nailed, and throws high and away from the bag.
