not sure if this belongs here, but...
Why dont the dodgers have names on the back of their jerseys? Is this a real uniform change, or an error?
also, I changed alfonso sorianos stance to Joe Morgan and he wont do his pose, but when i changed jim edmonds to generic 2, he continued to pose after HR's....Can you or can you not edit stances for guy with signature poses without risking the pose?
other than that (and of course the complications of manual editing) this game is much better than 2004.Comment

never mind on the dodger uniform question, found this:
Owner Frank McCourt, Jr. has said the decision was prompted by a desire to stress a team approach and not focus on the individual. He also has said that with 2005 representing the 50th anniversary of the organization's first World Series championship, the decision, in part, is a salute to the Dodgers heritage. The club did not begin putting players' names on the back of uniforms until 1972. Bill Veeck of the White Sox introduced player names on uniforms in the 1960s. The Yankees (home and away), Red Sox (home) and Giants (home) also have uniforms without player names.Comment

OK, here's another... When I argue a call, the 'meter' at the bottom of the screen doesn't do anything when I press the button to determine argument intensity. It just stays zeroed out.... It must be working, however, because I've already gotten my manager tossed twice.
This is in the PC version...

Re: Official "Bugs"/"Glitches" Thread

Re: Official "Bugs"/"Glitches" Thread
This has only happened once but it was unbelievable. I blasted a shot out of Wrigley with Jeromy Burnitz. The announcer game the 'ole "No doubt about it" and I watched it sail onto Waveland Avenue. When the replay started the announcer said "He'll have to stop at second for a ground rule double". What the crap is that!? I thought surely it was just an audio mistake but when the next batter came up, there was Burnitz standing on second.Comment

Re: Official "Bugs"/"Glitches" Thread
Regarding the fuzzy grass, that can be fixed by setting the video card's Anisotropic Filtering to 8X. I can't decide if the 8X setting slows down the game or not, so I tried it with 2X and 4X which worked also. Just as long as it's not set to app-controlled.
As far as gameplay, at Dodger Stadium I hit a ground ball which hit in front of the plate, then bounced hard and low over the 3rd baseman's head into leftfield. When I hit it I thought it was a nice hard line drive down the line, and was shocked when the replay showed it bouncing once off the dirt.Last edited by squawk; 02-25-2005, 04:44 PM.Comment
