    Re: Official "Bugs"/"Glitches" Thread

    OK... MAJOR bug here....

I just started a game and had the most unusual bug... I could suddenly no longer make force outs at first base...

On any ground ball, I would throw to first and no matter how far the ball beat the runner by, he would still be safe... In fact, it didn't matter how the ball got to first... my first baseman would field a ground ball and step on first and the runner would still be safe... the only times that I got an out at first were when my first baseman would catch the ball and then do an automatic animation to tag the runner as he went by....

I'm not sure if this is the cause but the first time that I noticed it in the game was when my first baseman tried to field a grounder un-assisted and then immediately threw to third after tagging the bag... his throw to third was wild and the next thing I knew, the runner that should have been out at first was standing on third....

I couldn't get a force at first base after that....

    Yuck!! Very ugly...

Oh OK, I see what you're getting at. I forgot about that rule and pulled the three inning thing out of the air--what I meant was that you can be awarded a save WITHOUT meeting the official criteria, regardless of how many innings you pitched.

It also seems that you can get credited with a win without meeting the inning criteria also. Two bugs here; one I had Kris Benson pitching and he got through the fourth inning and then got injured. One, he still got credited for the win, and Two he was out for 7 days. The problem is that even though he wasn't on the DL, I was allowed to call up a pitcher to take his spot in the rotation (I didn't but I could have). Benson shouldn't have gotten the win in the game, and I shouldn't have been allowed to call up another player without placing Benson on the 15 day dl at the least.

I am playing a game on All-Star, and through 2 1/2 innings the CPU has had 6 throws that have pulled the first baseman off the bag, not much but just enough that I am safe 4 times. One of the throws I was clearly safe, and a couple times Thome tagged me as I passed.

I have seen a stat bug in the last two games I played. In the first game, I hit a single with Rueben Sierra, the ball landed and rolled to the right fielder. Then, the right fielder bobbled the ball. It was scored an error and Sierra did not get credit for the hit. In the second game, Tino hit a double in the gap and when the centerfielder got to the ball after it bounced off the wall, he bobbled it. It is charged an error and Tino's box score shows 0 for 1 (not to mention a man was on third when Tino hit it and Tino did not get an RBI either). It seems like any time a fielder bobbles the ball, it is an error and the batter does not get credit for a hit (even if it was clearly a hit before the bobble). This is getting me mad, but the rest of the game is just so good, I am hoping it doesn't happen too much. Anyone else seeing this happen?

I've seen this happen many times, quite annoying. On a side note, in my owner mode season that’s just 8 games old, Koskie came to bat with an AVG of .392 and an OBP of 376. Other than the statistical glitches, I'm loving every minute of this game.

Your nitpicking that rareley happens at all during the baseball season. Its a video game and your not gonna get every nook and cranny in the programming especially with the errors. Normaly a guy pitches 1 or 2 relief innings
