Re: Official "Bugs"/"Glitches" Thread
i'm really convinced that wind is not working at all
PLUS i've played 10 games with the Tribe in a new dynasty and all ten games had the wind blowing right to left at over 10 mph (same direction for all 10 games). I've yet to see the wind blow any other direction
The only thing that I can think of is perhaps the wind effect is calculated at contact and the ball goes straight to the adjusted landing spot instead of curving in the air like high heat did. I don't think i've seen shorter homers to right in these conditions as you'd expect to seeComment

Re: Official "Bugs"/"Glitches" Thread
OK.... I did a Fantasy draft as the Cardinals... One of the players that I drafted was Josh Phelps...
Strangely enough, even though his primary position is marked as first base, I cannot place him in that position. On the Defensive lineup screen, he simply does not appear at all. He only appears on DH lineup screens...

Originally posted by joebooNo that shouldn't be a save. The most runs you can be up by and still get a save is 5. The bases would have to be loaded though.
Also--and I doubt the game actually provides for this--but the official scorer can award saves whenever he feels it's appropriate, even if the pitcher doesn't meet the criteria. You sometimes see it when, for instance, a pitcher works three perfect endings to end a game but doesn't technically meet the standards for a save.Comment

If a pitcher pitches the last 3 innings of the game, and doesn't lose the lead, he does get a save. That's not the official scorer awarding it to him, that's just the rule.Boston Red Sox l New England Patriots l Boston Celtics l Massachusetts Minutemen l Boston College EaglesComment

Re: Official "Bugs"/"Glitches" Thread
I'm not quite sure what you're saying, but it doesn't matter how large of a lead it is; if you pitch the last 3 innings and don't lose the lead, you're creditted for a save.
Rule 10.20 in the Official Rule Book states:
Credit a pitcher with a save when he meets all three of the following conditions:
(1) He is the finishing pitcher in a game won by his club; and
(2) He is not the winning pitcher; and
(3) He qualifies under one of the following conditions:
- (a) He enters the game with a lead of no more than three runs and pitches for at least one inning; or
- (b) He enters the game, regardless of the count, with the potential tying run either on base, or at bat, or on deck (that is, the potential tying run is either already on base or is one of the first two batsmen he faces; or
- (c) He pitches effectively for at least three innings. No more than one save may be credited in each game.Boston Red Sox l New England Patriots l Boston Celtics l Massachusetts Minutemen l Boston College EaglesComment
